I have been living here for about 5 months now and I have found the overall experience to be enjoyable. The buildings are older, but the maintanence staff are usuall quick to repair/replace anything that is not working correctly. The one bedroom apartments are a little more spacious then they are at other complex's. The office staff has never given me a reason to complain. Jennifer Oakland (I think that's her name) is the person I prefer to deal with. She seems to be able to stay on top everyone's needs.
I've seen other people's complaints about the gate not working. I can honestly say that this gate has only been broken once since I have moved in and it was repaired within a couple of days. My previous apartment (Capehouse Apartments) only had a working gate for a couple of day out of the year that I lived there so this is not a big problem for me.
The pool and workout areas are nice. If you live near the pool, it is possible to hear some of the younger kids playing but they have been maintaining a strict 10 pm curfew. Last night, I was heading to the gym around 11 pm and the courtesy officer (who's also a JSO officer) was kicking people out of the pool as well as stopping some underage drinking.
These apartments do run on the higher end (as do most apartments on Hodges Blvd.)but if you know how to haggle and show that you have other options and are willing to walk away, they will lower their rates. I talked them down $90 a month.

Overall, I highly recommend The Links to anyone looking for a quality place to live.
