Think Twice From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 10/24/2004 Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2004   Think twice and then twice again before selecting this apartment community. Disregard all the good reviews regarding the complex. If you can afford more then look elsewhere. List of problems is long and distinguished. First the entry gate rarely works. Its online maybe 2 weeks at a time then its broke again. Water leaks are always a problem. The ac units on most of the units are over 15 years old. Water heaters are the same. It took almost 6 months to get the water heater replaced. The subfloor under the water heater was completly deteriorated. Crime is also a problem. We have had over 6 breakins. So if youre told crime is not an issue think again. Call JSO to get the straight scoop on breakins. All breakins occured on the first floor. Rent goes up everytime you sign a new lease with no upgrades in service. Maintenance staff however is good but, they are not given the budget to properly maintain the units. Before signing a contract ask around. I have been here 3 years and the complex is just getting worse. The only reason we are still here is we want to stay in Mandarin and the price is between 100 to 300 less than other complexes. This is the last lease we will be signing and will be moving the 4th quarter of next year.
