Everyone has already said the most of it. But I just want to share my experiences. I moved in to my apartment in November 2005 and I have to say that was probably the biggest mistake of my life. My fiance and I moved in here because well, I was tired of living with his parents and I have family that lives here as well, and they said it was OK... and a pretty good place. So we move in and it has been pure hell ever since.

I put in three work orders for mtnc in November and we haven't seen anyone YET, and it's JUNE now. Our sliding glass door didn't work when we moved in, my fiance and stepdad had to fix it so we could use the porch. The light on our steps works when it wants to and the fiance just fixed it himself last week. And our dishwasher falls out of the counter... it just needs a few screws... but seriously... they're supposed to fix these things for us. I see maintanence men everyday riding around together on their golf carts and it doesn't look like anything gets done.

The Amentites that we are supposed to get with this place, are a complete joke. The pools and hot tubs are never clean. Or if they are there are people doing god knows what in them or little thug kids watching everything you do or the Latinos who stare at you from their balconies when you're in the pool. The raquet ball room is more of a playroom for all of the little kids. The gym is a joke, and is never locked.

The landscaping and grounds. My god, I've never seen such a big sty before. We have palm bushes and trees right out side of our building and there are empty beer boxes and cans and bottles throughout them, pieces of trash everywhere and not to mention when it's dark you can't see where you're going and with MY neighbors it's quite frightening.

My neighbors, I live off in the 23-25 building area, and I swear to god I think I'm in the freakin' ghetto. It's that bad. I woke up one morning for work at 6 am, and one of my neighbors had their music on, probably full blast with the bass thumping my entire apartment. Not only is it early in the morning but it's late at night anywhere from 9PM to 1 AM if not later in the night the music is thumping from below us, beside us in the parking lot... from every which way we can percieve. It's getting to the point where it's just freakin' ridiculous and I'm ready to call the cops on some people, because SOME OF US HAVE TO WORK FOR A LIVING! For the love of all that is holy.

I don't understand how anyone can be happy. I had my 5 year old nephew and 2 year old niece stay with me for a week, and they couldn't sleep because of the music. They were scared to go outside and play because there were either THUGS standing aroud in the streets or Latino's staring at every move they made.

The staff either never picks up the phone or never returns your phone calls. I've never dealt with anyone in person other than when we first moved in, because I'd rather not get arrested... because I've heard that the office staff isn't very friendly, and when I'm pissed off neither am I.

We're in the processing of buying a house so we're going to be breaking our lease soon, because well, we simply can't stand the place.

--I believe we pay too much for the crap we have to put up with. Because my sister pays $730 for a 2/1 in Mandarin, and bigger apartment than I do for my $839 2/2. It's unbelievable and just plain ridiculous.

Maintenance is a problem. They are quick to respond to issuses that might damage the apartment such as an a/c unit that leaks but if you have any minor repairs that need fixing, you'll be waiting a very long time. I moved in over a year ago and I am still waiting on them to fix the carpet around the fireplace (its pulled back exposing the nails) and the painted over wallpaper in the bathroom is starting to peel off the wall.

As far as noise goes, its hit or miss. Some areas are pretty quiet, others have car radios blasting, people blowing there horns at 7 am or earlier because they are too lazy to get out of their cars. The walls are kinda thin so you will hear your neighbors.

Also, the a/c units in the apartments are the original ones. THEY SUCK! Mine runs from around 9 am to 12 am NON STOP. It gets up to 82 degrees in the apt during the summer months. The unit is too small and too old. It cannot keep the apt cool in the summer. My electric bill runs from $150 to $200 in the summer and I am in a 1 bedroom.

You have to go in and ask them to spray your apt as they do not have reg scheduled monthly pest control. You will have bugs and roaches on a daily basis in these apts. I have found that sparying all the doorframes and plumbing fixures with a can of raid helps keep the bugs under control. Yeah, I still see them but they are dead or dying.

This place is overpriced. They need to spend some money updating both the inside and outside of the apartments. But, like almost all communities, the only time you will see any renovations is when they sell it to another company. Save yourself the headache and $$$ and find someplace better.

Where does your sister live that's only 730.00? =) Thanks for the heads up. I've wondered if this place is worth the price and it sounds like it's not.
