Apparently not enough. We just bought a house in Sept '06 we put in our 30-day notice on Sept 12, and paid the prorate until Oct 12, the day we were moving out.

My husband goes to the apartment yesterday to get the remainder of our things, and there is NOTHING left in the apartment except abt 10 hangers of his clothes and two huge stuffed animals he got me for the last 2 Valentine's Days. Granted we only had a few thins left in the apartment. Some food in the cabinets, 4 or 5 boxes of things in the living room, and a closet full of clothes.

The "New" manager proceeds to tell us his girls put our apartment on the vacant list when it shouldn't have been until AFTER the 12th of October. Which he stated was their fault. I got off work early so I could go deal with this with my husband, because he has quite a bit of a temper when one of us is messed with, or in this case, both of us. He proceed to tell Husband and I that they would cover the cost for the things left behind.

He stated that when they "walked" the apartments that the maintanence told him the door was unlocked when they got there. Which is the biggest crock I've ever heard. My husband and I were there Friday night (October 6th) to get some of our things that were left over, and we locked the door afterwards. I specifically remember getting out my key and locking the door.

Which I told him would have been irrelevant anyway since the apartment was still in our possesion. At this point I'm in tears because even though these things are just materialistic I had a lot of irreplaceable items in the apartment.

My husbands Navy pictures, his high school soccer pictures, things of sentimental value from our Wedding in August, things from my parents wedding 21 years ago, and now I'll never be able to get back. On top of that ALL of MY clothes and shoes were taken out of the apartment, which leaves me with about 1/3 of my actual wardrobe now. And they took several of my husbands clothes as well, leaving us with like I said about 10 hangers of clothes.

When we asked for this in writing he almost refused, but we were persistant. He told us to wait in the lobby, we did and he brought out a signed letter. At this point my mother came up and read the letter to my grandmother over the phone, who works for Apartments as a Manager and doesn't take crap like this. And she stated that we need to have him say that we had posession of the apartment, the way he had it written sounded as if it was abandoned. He REFUSED to put this in writing until my mother stepped up and told him he needed to or she was going to get the police involved.

He immediately took the paper back, when inside and changed it again. Finally a bit more satisfied we left to think of the things that were missing, which is hard doing when you've lost a lot of things...

This place has been under THREE different management companies in the last TEN MONTHS, there is something wrong with this picture.

DO NOT! DO NOT MOVE IN HERE!

What happened there was wrong... But to set the story straight Victoria Park has not been thru 3 management companies in the last 10 months. The same company has owned it for close to 2 years. So get your story straight. I can see being upset but lying to make them look bad is just childish and stupid

There have been 3 different managers here! Too bad the company, IMT, doesn't care. They get rid of their "good" & polite staff & keep the rude & lazy managers & assistant managers!!!
