BAD EXPERIENCE

For a complex that advertises itself as luxury, this place is a joke. I came to look for an apartment a few weeks ago and actually visited this place twice because I really like the location and ammenities. I was really disapointed by everything else here. I was at a lot of apartments since I am selling my house in Tampa and moving here to Jax. I visited a thousand places, but this was so bad. I just have to comment!
There is only one leasing girl who is not retarded. The one blond girl is so stupid. When she showed me the apartment, I felt like it was a hidden camera show. She kept looking like she was falling asleep. Maybe she was out drinking the night before or she has some sort of problem. So when I came back in, I was glad she didn't remember me and I started talking to one of the other girls.
The bigger lady that works in the glass office is gross. She was so loud on her cell phone I could hardly hear what the girl in the office was trying to tell me. And the guy who works there is just scary! He looks like some sort of... I don't know what. and he was yelling at one of the girls from his office so I could hear it! It was just the weirdest and most unproffessional place I was ever in. It was like they didn't even notice I was there trying to rent!
I lied and told the girl with the long black hair that I didn't want to move until next march so I didn't hurt her feelings. I felt so sorry for her. She was so nice. I don't know how she deals with those people. It really was like a hidden camera show! I kept waiting for someone to tell me I was punked!
But it doesn't stop there. One of the residents was fighting with the lady in the office by herself and he was yelling and she was yelling and he got mad and when I was getting in my car, he came up to me and told me that this was "the most f-ed up place he ever saw." and not to move in because everyone was on drugs! I am sure that's not true, but to have someone who already lives there say that, I can't make myself rent here, no matter how much I liked the apartment. It was just crazy!

You are right in a few aspects the dark haired girl is very nice and the blonde does look tired alot, but she is a nice person. The lady that sits in the office by herself is not gross at all and that is not nice. Have you ever meet her? If not do not judge just because as you call her "the bigger lady" Well that lady is one of the best things that has been in the office for years. I have lived her for 4 years and she is very understanding, she always takes the time to talk to us and makes me feel comfortable no matter what and if I ever need to make sure something gets done she is the one to go to and I am not the only resident that feels this way. Beleive me she is very much respeced by most of us here. I have never heard her yell at anyone or be loud. It sounds to me you are judgin by looks. Take the time to get to know a person before making judgement. I dont know "the man"in the office as you call him very well so I cant say anything about that. It just makes me mad to see things like this about people you have never meet. I really doubt she was yellin and fightin with anybody, if this really happened he probaly was the one yelling not her. Becareful what you say about others.

The guy you were talking about yelling in the office is Dave. He is the General Manager of this hell hole they call an apartment complex. I lived there for 2 VERY long years and have seen it all here. I went in to pay my rent one time and he had one of the leaseing agents in his office and they were both yelling and screaming at each other. The maintenance guys (who you will get to know personally since they WILL be in your apartment on a regular basis fixing stuff) says this is a normal thing that goes on with him. The office staff changes very frequently there. The woman in the glass office however (can't remember her name, Sheri was it?) is very nice though. She worked with me when I had an issue with my bank and was a couple days late with the rent.
I'm not sure who was worse though. The previous GM (Lisa) would not only scream at her employees but yell at the residents as well. She was a nut case. Guess we went from worse to bad.
No cleaning will be done by the apt community to your unit. Hopefully the last tenant was a clean person. When I moved in everything was dirty, found empty bottles and food wrappers in the kitchen cabinets, tile was dirty, bathroom was dirty.....basically, the place was a mess. They waited until the DAY I MOVED IN to clean the carpets. (The carpet should have been replaced. It was dirty/stained even after the cleaning and did not lay right in certain places) I sat in the office for 2 hours waiting for them to finish cleaning the carpets. Needless to say I had to wait a few more hours for the carpets to dry before I could move in.
The A/C never worked right the entire time I was there. It never got below 80 in my apt. It ran non stop all day and most of the night. Just about the entire maintenance team looked at it, cleaned it, etc. Nothing. According to them, all was fine. Yeah, 80 degrees and a $200 a month electric bill on a 1 bedroom. Seems normal to me.
Lets not forget about the bugs. The buildings are infested. No lie! Bugs (roaches) on a daily basis. You have to go into the office and ask for pest control. They do not spray on their own.
The building I was in (Building 11) was OK as far as noise goes but I know they have had problems in other sections. I lucked out and had good neighbors.
The landscaping is horrible. Even around the office it is very cheap looking. Dead grass and half dead plants. They rarely run the sprinklers. (Which might be a good thing since most of the sprinklers are busted anyway)
I could go on but am tired of typing. Read the other reviews. What about 96% are negative reviews. That should tell you something. We are not crazy or liars or tenants who didn't pay their rent so they are taking it out on this site. The reviews are true and if you notice, they all list the same problems. This place is a mess and is not getting any better. I'm so happy I am out of there. Don't let their $99 move in special or whatever else they want to throw at you tempt you. Believe me, you will be sorry. I was the day I moved in.

This rating is down right rude... How can you say something so mean if you dont know the person, it sounds to me like you know someone that lives here or you maybe was not able to move here and you are mad. But to say these things about someone you have not meet shows just what type of person you are. I live here at Victoria Park and I will say I have had some problems with maintenance gettin things done and the hot tubs are disguisting. But overall it is not near as bad as some say and to say such rude things about a person that is very nice to me all of the time. Actually everybody that I talk to here has not one bad work to say about "that Lady in the glass office" She does have a name and to call her gross is so untrue. What I want to know if she was in her office, how can you call her gross since you can not see in there unless you walk in her office? It sounds to me like you are the one that is gross as you say.

The first comments posted is from the actual big lady in the office. This lady was just giving us renters a heads up and no one would get that mad but the actual big lady in the office or a friend or family member of hers. Which is not fair for you all to post an comment!!!
