As a single parent I lived in a 1 bedroom apartment about 8 1/2 years ago for a year and there was a problem with silverfish and ants when we moved in.The culprit was the downstairs neighbors forest that they had in their home. The staff and pest control company took great care to do everything they could to rid the apartment of the problem and were successful.Other issue was fighting upstairs neighbors.Next apartment was a 2 bedroom and we loved it, no problems that I can recall.Moved out for a few years due to a bad car accident(happened elsewhere in Jacksonville of course).Moved back in 2004 to a townhome. No pest problems and we loved everything about it.Moved because husband took a job in a different city. The office was very helpful in us getting out of the lease and if I remember right we didn't even have any penalties because they were able to rent it out so quickly. All the apartments were big and even the prices now are comparative to houses that aren't even in that great of areas.I am about to move in again after visiting and not hearing anything from inside the apartment which shows me they have addressed the sound issues.I have lived in rental houses since and am hesistant about not having a yard and a little about the crime statistics recently but am praying that the experience is at least as nice as it was before.
