After reading all the reviews I must say i disagree with all the people that write on here..however, my experience was a little bit more pleasant.

I live in one of the 2 story lofts overlooking the pools/lake

Cons:
My first few days were not the best, however they fixed everything very efficiently. My hot water didnt work and when they fixed it, it worked too well and i had to take steam baths for a day. They fixed it the next morning. The lights in the hallway were out, and they fixed that the same day. My backsliding door didnt lock, and they sent a maintenance person within 30 minutes.
I think my worse experience was with JEA and AIMCO. JEA cut off my power not because i didnt pay, but because my apartment wasnt inspected in over 1 year. It took 1 month for them to get it back on. The same night i came home to no power, they moved me into a corporate suite, helped me move, and made sure i was happy. I need internet to do my job, so they moved me to another suite all expenses paid. I didnt have to pay rent for a month which i felt was fair. Then again, for a complex that is older, they're doing their best!

The parking is fair. With the new inflow of new residents, there is this one person who decided that they could park their car infront of the garages to the side...and ultimately led to other residents doing the same. even though there is parking these select few still decided to be lazy and park infront of the garages. For a person who drives a larger vehicle like i do, it is harder to drive around these, sometimes calling for a 2 point turn, depending on how horrible the person parked their car. I have noticed they have been putting those embarrassing neon stickers on their windows though. I hope they tow the first person that started it, because this person parks there every night.

The trash in the hallways thing is kinda strange to me too... however, it is always picked up in the early afternoon, every single day.

Now.. the Pros. The maintenance guys are awesome. Expecially the manager. I cannot name any people here, but I will advise you that you gotta be friendly to them too. You cant just expect them to do everything. The 2 people i kept in contact with were very professional, courteous, and very good with their mechanical "know-how." They came and they went, and when they left, my apartment worked. I havent had any problems for a repeat visit of anything.

I dealt with 3 people during the time of my problem with JEA, and 2 of them were AWESOME. One of them werent very good at calling me back, or picking up their phone. However, the person that i ultimately had to speak with was awesome. This person went out of her way to help me, when her subordinate should've responded, and she assisted me with the headaches of being caught in the middle. Whenever i tried to contact this person, she always immediately responded. Any "complaints" i had were literally resolved within a 24 hour period.

I love my apartment. Its beautiful, and yes, you can see some wear under the "new" rennovations. My second floor creeks a little bit but thats all i can really say. Its spacious, and i dont feel like i am cramped in it. I have a very large balcony and I can say that i have used my A/C less than 10 times since i've been here. The large doors, and windows help with the ventilation and my apartment is usually around 70-78 degrees during the day and around 65-70 during the night. My power bills are only around 25 a month.

I will be moving out shortly because of career opportunities elsewhere. but if i didnt have a pay upgrade, i'd stay right where i am at. This place isnt as bad as everyone says it is. Its actually under credited. then again, its rare that the satisfied people will comment on these things.

I guess the Bayghettos management has noticed that their numbers are getting low, so they had to put another shill in here. At least they're getting smarter and not putting an overtly gushing amount of praise in their reviews. Sorry, in my experience with this sad place there was no one in the office that was 'awesome'. In fact, no one would help or call back at all. I don't know whose imagination this person is living in, but it would be a cold day in hell when Bayghetto would actually help someone move into a corporate suite merely because of a simple thing like no power or something. Oh, unless the person worked there. Yes, it IS very rare that satisfied people comment on sites like this. People expect to go into an apartment and get treated correctly so they don't necessarily put reviews up if their experiences are good. But it is also very rare that an apartment complex would get so many negative reviews all saying the same thing. Bottom line is this place SUCKS, no matter how many fake positive reviews there are. NO ONE GIVES THE OFFICE STAFF AT THIS PLACE A RATING OF FIVE. NO ONE GIVES THE MAINTENANCE AT THIS PLACE A RATING OF FIVE. Give me a break.

Hey "Anonymous " with an attitude like that, i'm not surprised why you had poor service. Seriously, try being nasty like that to anyone, and im sure you're not going to get the best of service. I am not an employee, I do not know nor am i friends with any of the employees, and I moved here from Orlando. I honestly had a wonderful living experience here and I rated the employees at a 5 because they deserve that, if not more. The night my power went out, I was helped by the head of maintenance, and a very nice lady from the Residents Relations. I wrote this review because of people like you who are unfair about the ratings. Who write only the negative things and dont give them a fair chance. If you had problems with maintenance, you should've treated their property better. Or, you should've pointed it out within the first week like i did. If you had a problem with employees, you should've try to resolve it with their managers. If i were an employee, i wouldnt have written my "cons" section. I would not have written my personal experience. I knew that i would get criticism from people about possibly being an employee, which take my word or not. I am not.

In no way do I believe this review. My experience in this place included neighbors with electrical fires and EXTREME plumbing problems on one side and flooding upon rain on the other side. My personal experience included flooding, bad wiring, bad plumbing, huge cockroaches, dangerous grounds, inept maintenance people, and very rude office staff. Maybe these issues would've changed if I 'treated their property better' by not using the electricity, plumbing, grounds, etc. But I doubt it. How anyone could seriously say that the maintenance and office staffs deserve better than a five is beyond me. Simply by stating that you can't be an employee due to the fact that, if you were, you wouldn't have put in a cons section to your review, shows me that you have thought about it. No one is happy here unless they get paid to be.

Yes this place is bad, do not live in the casa stell or casa terra sections, you will get a lousy view, bad plumbing, no parking, lousy neighbors a hell of a walk to the trash compactor, if you choose not to use the lovely stinking trash cans that they place outside your door and ontop of that you have to pay $15.00 a month for regardless if you use them. You can expect in any apartment a high utility bill in winter and especially in summer. The maintenance/office staff are overwhelmed with work-orders, after all it is a 30 year old property, and a staff as such cannot possibly give good customer service when most of the problems within the community were not address at the time of rehab in 2005-2007, in the business it is called a K & B (kitchen and bath) completely cosmetic, no plumbing, roof or structual issues were taken care of, so you are paying for crown molding and cheap countertops/cabinets and a painted bathtub with some ceramic tile on the floor, some upgraded landscaping with a playground thrown in and a updated exercise room with plumbing in the locker-room that constantly over-flows. The apartments are too expensive when you factor this into the price, you will have constant maintenance issues that are beyond the maintenance techs relm of expertise, don't you constantly see Roto Rooter trucks on the property? Now granted they can unstop a garbage disposal and charge an a/c. Then when something happens other than this try dealing with the inept office staff trying to get a credit on your rent because you cannot use your plumbing, ha, just go ahead and beat your head against the wall. The Resident relations office is a big joke, full of uncaring, unprofessional people. Good luck if you rent here it is a flip of the coin, I would ask for all the work-orders on the apt they try to rent to you and make sure you call JEA first and get an average for your utility bill, then make a decision.

I must admit things sucked for the first year; however, in the past 5 months or so we haven't had any complaints.

worst place i have ever lived. Mold, leaks, pipes broken and have to put in at least 5 calls to maintenance to get anything done. Do not move here at all cost please for your health, well being and just general happiness. Your home should be a place you enjoy being at not a burden worrying about what is going to break next. The defiantly go by the governments motto and sub everything out to the lowest bidder, they could care less about the quality.
