I had rats in my apt. i got out of the lease...i thought. but now they are trying to tell me that my husband got out of the lease, but i didnt, and now I am receiving phone calls from a third party collection agency. I basically just wanted to put some pics up here to show you what was in my apt.

whenever I called to let them know there were rats in my apt. they told me there was nothing they could do, and I needed to go get some mouse traps. This same day roaches started pouring out of my electrical unit. The first month I lived here my toilet kept over flowing upstairs, bc I had a spare half bath, they didnt feel like it was necessary to come and fix it right away, it eventually flooded my kitchen. They kept saying they were going to fix it, but never did, an month or so went by so I with held rent, bc I was too embarrassed to even have company over with a big rotting whole in my kitchen ceiling. After with holding rent the hole was fixed the next day, bc if there is one thing that VOB knows how to do right....its to receive a rent payment. Its weird to me that they are so on top of the money aspect but when it comes to maintance problems or costumer service, they all of a sudden dont know how to do that. This is the worst place I have ever lived and if you think that Aimco, which is the actually owners, is any better, you are wrong. I called them for 3 months straight and they never called me back.

As for the trash that everyone keeps talking about, when I first moved there the trash service wasnt in affect yet, and i had a dumpster right in front of my apt. so it was very easy to throw the trash out. then all of a sudden they tell us we have to have this trash service, which i might add is going to cost more money, thats another thing, they are always adding something else to your monthly payment. I am pretty sure that the trash outside probably brought the rats into my apt. but i could be wrong, its such an old place the rats could have been there the whole entire time. I hope this helps people, please please please take the advice that is on this website and do not move here!
