I moved in December/08, It took Jennifer 2 years to convince me this was the complex for me. I love the apartment. The toilets not flushing and me need to plunge every now and then don't bother me that much. The sink overflowing all over the counters in the kitchen is another matter. I will blame that on the upstairs tenent who doesn't know not to throw grease down the drain because it will cause a back up. Maintenance is pretty quick getting here. My problem is the lack of insulation. I can hear every single thing that goes on in my neighbors upstairs apartment. And I do mean EVERYTHING! When he snores, it sounds like the man is in the bed with me, and when they have marital relation (sex) unfortunately I am right there with them. I have complained, however it's not like these people are being overtly loud, they are just living normally in an apartment that has no insulation
I know that when my lease is up, I'm out of here.

Yep... Sounds like the same place we moved from. Nothing has changed! Hopefully you don't have to deal with these kind of disturbances much longer. God Bless

I would agree with everything you said, except for the fact that the upstairs neighbor's drain backing up is due to their not using the drain properly. There are many examples in this forum of broken, old, leaky pipes. For this, I fault the apartment 99% due to their lack of preventative maintenance. They won't fix their old iron pipes.

People need to be carefull anywhere they live in what they put down the drains/toilets. ie. especially NO CAT LITTER!!!

i agree the walls are super thin. i live in case stella and my neighbor is a heavy smoker. no offense to people who smoke but i jus had a new baby and u can smell the smoke through the walls or through the vents. i'm not sure how it comes in but its terrible. i bought a air purifer and that worked a little but he smokes like around the clock and everytime he does we know because the smell is that strong. of course he can do whateva he want in his home i just hate that it comes though the walls. we are out of here when our lease is up also!!!!
