Lets begin by saying that if you want to pay for high electric cost about $185 on the low end per month then this is is your "place". I move to another apt complex and I am paying in electric about $130 per month and my place is as twice as big as the one I rented at villages of baymeadows. When I ended the lease they charged me from a broken door they didn't fix and the carpet they never changed about $700 dollars after they discounted my $200 deposit. They are stealing money for working people like me and I hope this doesn't happen to any of you. From the management to the recepcionist you can tell that they only care about you paying rent and nothing else. I wish someone with a bit of money goes to the housing deparment here in Jax and report whatever is happening at the villages. Corrupt people at the office then there would be more crime in the complex. I feel bad for the people that are living there right now. If you want to move here - DO NOT DO IT -

I got royally ripped at the end of the lease as well. They did not inform me to have the move-out form filled.. Told me to just drop the key & all will be taken care of! Yeah right!! They took me for $1800 for an apartment which was in perfect condition.. just normal wear & tear. The carpet in bedroom has issues.. but that was because of their horrendous washer-dryer drainage issues..which ruined the dry wall & carpet. But they pinned it on me when I moved out. Total set of corrupt, useless management. DO NOT RENT AT VOB!!!!

Management has now changed the forms a person signs when renewing or renting for the first time. They will charge you for every little factor when leaving and when I left, they pulled paperwork from my file that never existed! I was told, "Ohhh, I see we never went over this move in paperwork with you when you moved in...well, this is what you will owe if the baking pan is missing from your oven, if the carpets are dirty and much much more". If you live here for any amount of time, they will NOT offer to clean your carpets even if here for three years. A friend lived here for 3 1/2 years and when renewing her lease, they never offered to clean carpets even when she inquired and she lost her deposit for carpet cleaning when she moved. This place is Chico-ville big time Section 8 man, theres better places with lower rents. This is the largest apartment in JAX for one reason - reassured payments via taxpayers for the Section 8 that break and enter your apartments. Check with the police department about the NUMEROUS robberies for cars and breaking and enterrings at Villages of Baymeadows. If you move in, its cheaper to buy a Glock or a shot gun than to have a $500.00 deductible read between the lines!
