I liked the building layout, although the apartments are small. I especially liked the attached garage parking which offered a sense of safety. My problem was with the staff, and perhaps a unique problem. I am a senior and not accustomed to being called by my first name, since I also carry the title of "doctor." The staff is young and casual and used first names with tenants, young and old. Even the maintenance man called me by my first name. When I called this to the attention of both the manager and her assistant, the assistant said she always addresses people by their first name. After that, she and the mgr. never called me by my first name again, but used no name at all when speaking to me, just "Hello." The maintenance began to address me as "Mrs." Perhaps I didn't look "doctoral" to them, so I even offered to show them my credentials. This may seem minor to some, but, as I explained to them, a rule of thumb is to address people as they introduce themselves to you. Their behavior shows impudence, and lack of respect. When an assistant of mine went to the office to pick up something for me, stating he was there for Dr so-and-so, the office's assistant mgr. said "Oh, you mean such and such, using my first name. My assistant said, "No, I mean Dr. such and such," as my assistant does not use my first name. The former manager, Stephanie, a mature lady who was there when I rented the apartment, always adressed me properly with no problem. Also, at my move-out interview, the assistant mgr. was busy collecting keys, etc., and forgot to deal with money issues. She had said "Goodbye," when I had to remind her that there was some money that I was to pay them before leaving! Otherwise, living in the Villas was a pleasant experience, except for seeing a palmetto bug or beetle, or both, on a weekly basis in the apartment although they spray every other month on a regualar schedule or came out the week you called for extra spraying. Inside parking is a plus, as is being close to a nice Publix mall across the street. Neighbors were pleasant and minded their business. The building is quiet and the lovely.

First of all, one of the first rules of customer service is to personalize the conversation, which is generally done by first names only. I have a job title on my name as well, but i don't require people to use it. GET OVER IT. The problem with you doctors is that your so stuck on yourself, you don't realize that all they were trying to do was make you feel welcome. You spent a good 10 minutes bitching about how they didn't call you DR, that's all.. If that's all that's wrong with these apartments, they sound Perfect for me. And the bugs, you're in florida... MOVE if it's such an issue.

Just want to put my 2 cents. I am also a Dr. At my workplace, the techs either call me by first name or Dr. first name. Rarely does anyone call me by Dr. last name. I actually prefer it like that. Then again, I guess i am in my early 30s and this apartment atmosphere and neighborhood seem to cater to the younger crowd. So i guess if you are an older crowd and don't want to hang around with the younger more informal crowd, then might not be a good place.

I agree with Myssie83. I have lived at this property for almost two years and the office staff and maintenance staff have always been friendly and professional.

Oh my God! Get over yourself! You eat, sleep and go to the bathroom don't you? Guess what? You are human, just like the rest of us. Get over it. At least your office staff knows your name.

Yeah, I have a doctoral degree too, and you sound like a complete jackass. Your review makes you sound absolutely insuferrable. A shriveled old prune caught up with formality in an informal environment. Did you actually show the maintenance guy your degree??????
