I have read the rest of the reviews and I honestly don't understand why everyone has such a problem with these apartments. We live in Florida, and when it is damp the bugs come inside. We get weekly pest control to help keep down the problem, but it isn't that bad. The rent is reasonable, there are beautiful walkways around the two lakes, the tennis court is lighted after dark, and there are two pools to swim in. Most people clean up after their pets, and if they don't the lawn people take care of it when they come every week. The only real problems I have seen is the residents that live here. On Memorial day weekend some jerks used the hot tub and poured beer in it and broke the light in it. They left broken bottles and beer caps everywhere. The management had the area cleaned up on Monday and they got to repairing the hot tub. It took a few weeks to get the part in, but they did fix it. The other problem is the idiots who don't live here but want to come in- they pile up at the gate and wait for someone with a key card to come through- then all of them follow you in. Overall, I really like the atmosphere- I feel like my kids can take the dog for a walk without me worrying that someone is going to snatch them- it's very peaceful.

You are living in some kind of fair tale world. Maybe you have lived in some really nasty apartments and to YOU this is a great place.... But wake up call.... Westland park apartments is a dump!!!! And you should have your children taking away for not supervising them in such a horrible area. You won't think it's so safe when their faces end up on a milk carton!!! Go educate yourself!
