I've had maintenance difficulties frequently since moving in. Some they've fixed, albeit usually after a lengthy wait. My dishwasher hasn't worked since I moved in (16 months). I don't need it often, but I've reminded them every two or three months. I finally cornered a maintenance man to ask the status. He told me he was told "No new dishwasher". Simple as that. I said "So, I just randomly don't get to have a dishwasher that works'" He replied, "I guess that's right." It's almost comical.
I've paid my rent on time 15 out of the 16 months I've lived there. The one time I was late, I was in Louisiana doing Hurrican Katrina relief work. I called to tell the office as much, and asked if they'd address a few maintenance issues while I was gone. I returned and no maintenance was done AT ALL. I went to the office (on the 7th) to pay my rent and ask why no work was done. I was told that there must have been a miscommunication. Sorry, and by the way, you have to pay a $75 late fee for the rent. I was asked to be the understanding party. They were unwilling to be understanding. Nice, huh'
