How would you like to live in a place where the walls are cracking, the office staff is very rude and things are promised to be fixed but never are' Neighbors bang on their doors at 11:30 at night for a half hour because they are locked out. The elevator is always broken and they are too cheap to replace the with new ones. How about the place is infested with bedbugs. Trash sits outside of peoples doors for days without being thrown away. Drunk people pass out underneath the stairs and nothing is done about it. If that sounds like your dream place then Oceanwalk is right for you. Heres a scenerio for you, I was walking my dog the other night around 2:00 a.m. and someone from the office staff gets out of a taxi, drunk and on the phone yelling and cussing at who she is talking with on the phone, all the way up the elevator and into his/her apartment. Thats always a pleasure! I have been living here for almost 2 years now and have not enjoyed it at all. I am thankful my lease is up here soon so I can leave Oceanwalk. This place is the ghetto of all ghetto and I would not recommend it to anyone!

The office staff are what make the place the dump it is. They fire people because they don't pay attention to detail & they them selves can't spell detail much less get it right. How hard is it for the company to find people that don't lie, cheat & steal the hard earned money of their renters. We rented at LasSalinas. They were up front with us. Most important they did not lie to us & change the price with each visit. It sucks when the web site has a price, you call & get a higher price & when you go in it is yet a higher price. That is what happens when you lie. Good thing we left the machine recorder on. We had that conversation to listen to, my husband is hard of hearing. He has a very small voice activated recorder in his shirt pocket. He can listen to it later to make sure he got all the facts straight. What a big help after that office visit. The web site turned out to be useless. That whole mess over there needs to be reported to the state. After several months here we completely understand why every one we spoke with told us to stay away from Ghetto Walk. The loud drunks at night & the loud jerks at all times that think every one wants to hear their music.

It is VERY easy in Florida to break a lease if the conditions are as bad as you say. The key is to document, document, document. In other words, send letters of complaint detailing the problem, with dates and times, by registered mail. Escalate the action you will take in each letter. Your second-to-last letter should say something like, "If this condition is not corrected within 30 days, I will consider it as evidence that you wish me to terminate my lease." You'll be surprised how well it works. I have done it, twice, in noisy apartment settings. All the best.
