West Isle was ok for what was available at the time we lived in Key West. We were military and needed an apartment to rent. It was either here or Ocean Walk and we chose here. They do have washer and dryers here but maintenance wasnt that good. Our roof had a leak for like 2 years and they always said they were going to fix it and NEVER did! also when we first moved in our carpet smelled like urine and they supposedly cleaned it and ionized it and it didnt work. They offered to move me apartments but that was a problem since i knew noone and my husband had just left for 2 months so needless to say we dealt with it the whole time. We lived there for 3 years and they only reason was was because there wasnt anywhere else we could afford at the time since the real estate was going crazy! MY CAR GOT BROKEN INTO 3 TIMES!!! so there is crime in that area! one time my alarm was going off and the SOB was sitting in my car when i called the cops! I DIDNT FEEL SAFE HERE BECAUSE THE LIGHTING IS HORRIBLE!! The parking is horrible and floods during storms but alot of key west does. And the office staff could care less what happens. They werent very friendly! We didnt like it here and would never recommend it. Like I said that was the only place for us to live at the time! RENT HAS SKYROCKETED SINCE WE WERE THERE!
