I was excited when I moved into The Arbors of Sendera. I had just got to Florida & they were running a special $99 moves you in. The apartment was spacious & water, sewage & trash is included. All was well for the first part. The only real issue that I had was a few roaches here or there (not an infestation...thank God) in which Maintenance came right out & exterminated. However, the first time I did come home & found the bombs still in my apartment. But I didn't trip, at least that was proof that they did come. The complex is quiet for the most part...you get you occassional Honda, Acura's & other little cars riding through with the bass bumping. I never felt endangered of any kind. For the most part the tenants were pretty cool...but management has changed & I don't think they're as motivated to get this place up & running. It does have potential for to be an excellent complex but I personally feel like management has gotten complacent.

So, here it is 8 months into my lease & I can't take it anymore & am breaking it. The trash is RIDICULOUS!!!! (see the pics I've posted....they were taken on 7/4/08, 7/6/08 & 8/7/08). IT IS HORRIBLE!!! The walls are thin...I can hear my neighbors in the bathroom.

My hot water tank had a leak & I was left without hot water for almost a week. Besides the fact that the water soaked the carpet & my apartment smelled like mop water that had been sitting for months.

After complaining & calling the office for the 50th time...I was told that the emergency maintenance line doesn't work & they've been going back & forth with the company to get it fixed...I would think that they would find someone else...but they didn't. Then, when maintenance did finally get to it, I had to keep calling the office to make sure something was being done. I'm not sure if it's because they're short staffed, got a lot going on or just don't care. Even had to take a half of day off of work to stand over their shoulder.

Then, on top of that, maintenance had the nerve to use my bath towel that was hanging in the bathroom to mop of the floor around the hot water heater....the nerve!!! And I had 2 mops sitting in the bathroom (in plain sight) & when I got home from work I found my door pulled up but unlocked. After this fiasco, I decided they didn't deserve another cent from me & submitted a 30 days notice.

In spite of all of this, I can say that management didn't have a bad attitude about the situation...but I do feel it should've been handled much better...especially for the amount of money I pay them.

So, with that being said....unless you're hours away from being homeless.....PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH & select the best place for you. I would recommend this place for a temporary shelter situation....but my neighbors seems to love it.....he said they've been there for years.

I couldn't agree more. I moved here in 2007 (see my review) and learned to love it then but it has been rapidly going downhill ever since. My lease isn't up until next March but you may be sure I'll be looking around before then! By the way, when looking at the above photos please remember they were taken in July, the hottest part of the summer.
