We thought cool ! Lot's of square footage for little money- Then we started getting $200-300 power bills. The "30yr. old building" excuse didn't cut it for us and we had an energy audit done by our power company. What an eye opener. The guy had obviously dealt with this complex MANY times before and found a very dangerous wiring problem (arcing)in our breaker box- which they fixed almost immediately for obvious reasons. When it came to re-imbursement for the unnecessarily high power bills- they sent it to the ever elusive managment company (mentioned by someone else on this site) and of course- (no surprise) never heard back. I did like the big screened in patios though. They provided a nice view of all the drug busts and domestic violence.

FYI: when I was there 2 years ago, I was able to keep the electric bill between $40 and $80 a month (during the holiday season w/decorations). But then I am content with only occasional a/c and don't crank up the heat. TIP: don't use the ceiling fan!! It's worse than a/c, it can raise your bill more than you realize! I found out the hard way.
