At first glance Heatherwood may not look like your dream home, but for someone who is on a low income it is a great place to start. The people are very friendly and it was a very safe place for my children. I actually made friends with the managers because of my kids always hanging out with theirs. I read the review about sex offenders living here and the manager being a drug dealer, but the property has changed owners and they have most certainly straightened these things out. The first thing i noticed was how quiet it was not having anyone above or below me in these apartments. It made a huge difference when i had to go to bed early on a friday or saturday night. The property as a whole is normally pretty quiet and the maintenance staff is very friendly and always on call. The previous review was talking about all of these problems in his/her apartment, i never had any of these problems, nor did i have to do them myself. This person did not realize that all you have to do is fill out a work order and the maintenance staff will take care of it very quickly. They were very quick to act when i put in a work order. I found it very reassuring when i saw the new owners of the property dropping by on a weekly basis. This showed that they truly care about me and all of the other tenants at Heatherwood. This property had it's problems in the past with it's previous owners, who just seemed to let the property turn into a ghetto. The new owners however turned Heatherwood into a safe, quiet, and friendly place for me and my family.
