I've been living in Heron lakes for a bit over 6 months and its been a mixed bag. If you can deal with -------- and their bass at 7:30 in the morning or 10:00 PM at night or people leaving bags of trash out at night for racoons and other creatures to tear open and strew out the contents all over the place, maybe Heron Lakes is perfect for you.
Heron Lakes offers trash pickup. They provide the bags. All you got to do is place the bag on your porch between 6a and 8a.This must be too hard for some people as they use bags other than whats given to them and place the bags on the side of the road at night for all the nighttime creatures to feast on.
Some people who live here must be deaf as hearing the bass vibrate my windows or rumble in the floor of my apartment is almost a daily occurence. Most of the times I've been able to identify the location of the noise its been a Mexican or Puerto Rican household. Maybe its a cultural thing to play music as loud as possible anywhere from 7:30 Am or 10:00 PM or later and I don't understand.
The staff at Heron Lakes is nice as the day is long and when there isn't trash all over the grounds or I'm having to listen to BOOM BOOM BOOM of someones bass, these are decent apartments to live in.
If I had to grade on a 1-10 scale I would give Heron Lake a 5.
