GREAT PLACE

I've lived at Heron Lake nearly 5 years now.
As far as I'm concerned I'm not moving anytime soon. It's secluded, quiet, clean. The property is in close proximity to everything. The office staff has always been nothing less than courteous, professional and attentive.
For the record, someone complained that they can never get a hold of them. - When are you calling '''' They are open everyday!! AND even have a 24 Hour Emergency option when you call after hours. Which by the way I used a couple of times (like when I clogged the toilet one evening) and someone has always called me back to get the details and always come to fix the problem.
The maintenance team is always quick to respond, and act like they really want your problem resolved. Plus they clean-up after themselves when they are done! (Trust me really important) Oh and I'm pretty sure, they too, work everyday.
As far as the community itself, nice all around. The landscaping is lush, lots of plants and palm trees. The buildings are nicely spaced apart, and every unit is a corner. I've had several different neighbors since moving in, and I haven't experienced any more noise than any other apartment I've lived in.
For my neighbor: I also haven't noticed any weird smells from the vents, but I'll keep you posted. As far as bugs and such, you can get the occasional critter, but the windows and patio are screened so that really helps and they do have pest control. Parking's good. Pretty standard tennis, pool etc. Although I hadn't been to the pool in a while and they got some really fancy pool furniture, since I was last there.
As far as the area is concerned, it's all right. I'm a night owl so I go out to dinner or to Target late at night and I don't have a problem. Hookers' not that I've really noticed! They're hard to miss!! (I worked at the Florida Mall in Orlando, there are some pretty bad streets or areas just north of there)
The apartments are really nice. I am moving into a remodeled apt when I renew my lease =) They're pretty fancy.
Rents aren't the cheapest, but in my experience that's not always a bad thing. You pay for what you get, like service, and quality of life. Anyways there are others out there just as expensive and no where near as nice.
