Not a place to move in

Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2007
Renting here has not been a good experience. I moved in almost one year ago. Place is attractive, the buildings look good, and they announce that they have a racket ball court. So I moved in, but then: the racket ball is being renovated... one moth went by.. two.. three... eleven months and the racket ball court is not in service yet.
Garbage management is bad, pretty bad !! Many (need to say: more than 10) times over the weekends the garbage bags piled up.
Today, March 26, the pool is not in service since 3 weeks ago, the gym is not in service since 2 weeks ago. The laundry room if dirty, the security gates have been broken most of the time.
If you complain, the attitude from some people the office is bad. Some of the very same friendly and nice ladies that you meet when applying turn now into ugly and unfriendly people. I reached the conclusion that for my own sake, it is a waste of energy to complain, you end up aggravated. I have been waiting for my lease agreement to expire so I can move to another place. I made the mistake of signing the lease with a penalty of two months rent, that kept me tied up here for the whole year. Thanks God is almost over.
There are better and less expensive places within the same area, just look across the street in any direction

| I invite you to our property to see for yourself what we have to offer. You are welcome to view our available apartments, open closets, open cabinets and generally inspect them and us! Please keep in mind that Lake Tivoli has 384 apartment homes and the comments on this website which range over several years make up only a tiny fraction of our past and present residents. You may find something marginally less expensive in the area but you'll be hard pressed to find something better. We had a fire in the Racquetball court about the time this person moved in. It took time to have it repaired to safe standards. About a week after the racquetball fire an extremely careless driver literally crashed into our fitness center. First and foremost no one was hurt, which we were absolutely grateful for. It was then about 2 weeks before the wall could be repaired and the center could be inspected for safety. So for reasons beyond Lake Tivoli Management's control both the racquetball court and fitness center were closed. We have two cleaning/groundspeople who are very diligent and I seriously doubt that the laundry room is ever really dirty. It is cleaned every morning Monday through Friday. From time to time the pool is closed because we must use chemicals to clean/maintain it. When we put a new "dose" of chlorine due to safety reasons no one should swim in it for at least 24 hours. Also from time to time the pool needs to be maintenanced and is temporarily shut down to do so. We have one on-site trash compactor. Most residents respect our trash removal policies, but all do not. Some people are simply too lazy to put their trash in the compactor thus creating an unfortunate "domino effect" where most people after that person piles his/her trash outside the compactor. Other times large trash is thrown inside the compactor. This is an on-going issue that the Lake Tivoil staff works hard in combating. We have actually do enforce the $50 fine warining we have posted. | |
