Okay so they're probably not, but it would at least give them an excuse for how badly that place is run. I lived there for 2.5 years, and broke my lease to leave because of the bugs. I kept my place immaculate and yet there were bugs everywhere. Not one or two, but THOUSANDS. They got into my furniture, clothing, everywhere.

But that's just one problem. Then there's the flooding of the parking lot, even when it rains only a tiny bit. There's the laundry rooms with maybe 1 working washer and/or dryer (never both). A gym that I had to pay to get the key for, which never was opened. The lawn maintenance people would mow the grass that was roadside, but they'd skip huge portions, that the complex tried to bill me for not mowing.

Oh, yeah, speaking of billing, my neighbor used to leave his trash out for days at a time. Only he thought he'd be clever and put it in my yard. I immediately went to staff with this, and not only did they not do anything about it, they sent me a $250 bill for dirtying up their complex for a month. Y'know, with my neighbor's trash.

Don't get me wrong, most of the neighbors weren't bad, but there were a few shining moments. Like the people across who liked to steal license plates. Oh, and make meth in their bath tub. What I love is that these guys never got kicked out, but the old lady downstairs from them gets booted out for being too loud.

Another thing was their disregard for any in-home repairs. You could call and call and call for weeks and be lucky to get someone to pick up (if you went down there, they were invariably out to lunch, no matter what time of day), let alone out to your apartment. When someone did come, they'd usually look at the problem, then vanish again, never to return. I actually had a guy who lost a tool, and thought he left it at my place, and then he shows up a month later saying I stole it. A few weeks later, he calls to say he found it. Not that he's sorry for accusing us of stealing or anything.

There was also an insane amount of discrimination. I noticed, when talking to people in the complex, white people tended to pay, on average, about $100 more for their apartment.

Example: My Hispanic neighbor had a 3 bedroom, he paid $800 a month for, which he started paying in 2005. as of 2006, he was still paying $800. In a similar 3 bedroom, my white neighbor paid $1040 in 2005, and in 2006 their costs went up to $1100. That's one example, but I came across this many times, and it happened no matter the person's credit.

Yeah. You could say I'm glad to be gone from there.

This is so true...My biggest problem here is the staff. They have such problems with me that when I go in there they call the manager. Simply because they know that when I come in, I MEAN BUSINESS because they don't. I can't wait to leave here. The crimerate keeps going up, three different drug dealers have moved in and out in 6 months. As well as random shootings have happened...DON'T move in here if you can help it.
