My husband and I and our adult son moved into Legends Lake Mary in mid-March. We really like it here. It is like a resort community. The landscaping is exceptional and continuously maintained. I have added a lot of my own flowers to make our entry way even lovlier. The pool is very nice and the smell of jasmine permeates the area around the pool. I swim early in the morning around 9-10 before it gets too hot, and I usually have the pool to myself. When we moved in there were a number of items which the maintenance staff promptly corrected. The gals in the office are very friendly and see to our needs in a professional and competent manner. They also have fresh-baked cookies for the residents. Parking can sometimes be a problem, but we can always find somewhere close to park. We have a large motorhome that we are allowed to park at the complex for an additional $25 a month. It is so nice to have it right here with us. I placed a birdhouse outside of our first floor solarium and it has been visited by a squirrel our son has nicknamed St. Francis of Assisi. We have also seen a female red cardinal eating bird seed. We couldn't ask for a more convenient location as we are situated right off of Rinehart Road. Our doctors are within a couple of miles of our apartment, and there are many restaurants nearby. Seminole Center Mall is close by, as well as, Wal-Mart, Target, Super K-Mart, Publix, Sam's Club, and scores of other great shopping strip malls. I have seen Lake Mary police cruisers just driving around the complex. I find that it is very quiet here and I feel very safe. One of the major reasons we moved here is the large one-car garage that comes standard with our apartment. We also have a washer and dryer in the garage, which is so important since I don't have to go out to do laundry. Haven't used the exercise facility, but our son has and he liked the different weight machines. I wish they had an incumbant bike. The windows need work as they do not shut tightly and lock properly. When the weather is nice I like to open the windows and I can't get them to close and lock properly. Maintenance hasn't been able to fix this problem. We have had rain come in when it has been really storming. We have lived in a large home for years but since my husband is employed here in Florida for the next 1-2 years we decided to move into an apartment instead of continuing to live in our motorhome. We are delighted with out choice of Legends Lake Mary!
