Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2006
So we moved in and i noticed that the floor was a little uneven, i pull up the carpet and the cement is shattered and the floor sags in the middle... Well we had already given them our money so we moved in... I dutifully put it on the list of things wrong with the apartment (the wall is also cracked) after stopping by the office several times the manager has her contractor come by.. he looks at the wall and stands in the middle of the floor and says "that is dangerous" the manager says that they need to check the ceiling downstairs and will let me know in a week.
The floor is cracked and sagging, wall and ceiling are cracked, power bill is double what we paid in an apartment that was bigger, no insulation - our neighbor downstairs heats our apartment on cold days, and entertains us with his music all night long. (ok until 3 or 4 in the morning), They sold the apartments and raised the rates 100 a month, Not worth the hassle. The only thing they had going for them was safety... did I mention that several apartments were broken into just last month, at night - residence woke up to find some dude in their bedroom.
Rent goes up from 750 to 850 in a two bedroom apartment that i am afraid to put my couch anywhere but next to the wall so it does not fall through onto my downstairs neighbors.
I would say to not get attached to your pets... no wait those are ants because they don't allow "pets"
If your idea of "fixed" is spray foam and Caulk, then this is the apartment for you!
Most of the neighbors are nice - too bad most of them can't afford the higher rent.
