I have lived at Clairmont on the Green (Formerly EastBay Greene) for 10 years now. I started off in a 2 bedroom before my kids were born and the roof caved in on us, because of leaking water coming from the appartment upstairs. The complex could never fix the problem and we told them to move us too a 3-bedroom, which they did.

At the beginning we did not have any problems, then they started to rennovate all of the appartments and the roaches started to come out in swarms. You walk into the bathroom and you can see 10 roaches walking around the 5 minutes that your in there. The roaches are all over the kitchen. I have to put everything into the refrigerator or there will be roaches in things such as bread and cereal. I have complained to the office so much, they don't listen and they act like they don't care. They sent the pest control over more often and When I get home I have the pest control note on the counter and there is a bug walking across it. You sprayed, yeah right! The complex sprayed inside all of the cabinets, which took me weeks to put everything back and it did nothing for the roaches, there are too many. I have resulted in catching crickets and lizards and putting them into the appartment, but I have too many bugs and the crickets and lizards have not survived. Everytime I call the office they give me an attitude and they still don't help me, I am so frustrated that I have stopped calling the office on anything. We found a rat in our appartment about a year ago and now I think we have another one.

We have holes in the ceiling in the bathroom with mildew around it. We have water stains on the hallway ceiling, which has caused electrical problems, resulting me in replacing our light bulbs every two weeks. Our Toilet is up from the tile and not flushed with the floor, that feces and urine smells were coming from the bathroom so badly, that I did call the office and I had to call everyday and finnally on the third day my husband walks in to the office and makes them come in and take care of the problem. All the complex did was a patch up job. They bolted the toilet down and did nothhing to the actual problem.

Another issue, we had a fire in one of our bedrooms about 6 months ago, it was controlled in the one bedroom, no outside damage. The bedroom has ashy black walls, the carpet is burnt and has ash on it, and the bedroom still has not been touched after 6 months. The AC was running during the fire and the air vents have not been cleaned. I have two kids and this is not healthy and not safe living conditions. My husband has been to the doctor numerous times over the last couple of years with medical problems, but the doctors can not find anything wrong with him. After all these problems we are now being harrassed by one of the newer office personel, Antonio. We have lived in this complex for 10 years and rent has never been late and this is what we have to deal with and the office could care less. DO NOT MOVE HERE, YOU WILL REGRET IT!
