I lived here for one year and couldn't wait for my lease to be up. From day one it as awful. I had leaks in my bathroom ceiling so much so that the ceiling began to buckle from the amount of moisture that had accumulated in the ceiling. After reporting the leak they "solved" the problem by putting some putty in the hole the leak was coming from, not by actually fixing whatever pipe was leaking. Soon after that I had a leak in the ceiling in the dining area. That was "repaired" the same way. I had leaks in the a/c unit that were never fixed. I came home from work one day to the bathroom and part of the hallway flooded due to a bursted pipe. I had to battle with management from day one to get control over an ant infestation in the apartment. Finally I had to pay out of my own pocket for a competant exterminator that located a nest of literally thousands of ants in the wall behind the a/c. Oh, did I mention that all the leaks resulted in an accumulation of mold which resulted in 3 sinus infections. I had three sinus infections in the one year that I had been there after never in my life having had one. I'm sure I spent the equivalent of one months rent on antibiotics and doctors visits. The laundry facilities were in poor condition at best. I rarely went there to find more than two working washers and dryers. And this was after the "new" ones were installed (which were more used refurbished models), not new. The construction of this complex is awful. I always knew what room my upstairs neighbors were in cause I could hear every creek and crack each footstep made. I had so many problems here that in my tenth month I told management that I intended to take the video that I had made of the ants along with a report from my doctor to the health department and to the BBB. That was when I was offered my final two months rent free. I didn't even want it. I left a week later. The view of these apartments from Starkey looks pretty good but keep driving. They put more in landscaping and thin pavers than making sure the insides are inhabitable and management couldn't care less. This place should be condemed and demolished. KEEP LOOKING!!!!!!
