We absolutely love it here. Alice, the manager, is absolutelt wonderful. She bends over backwards for her tenants and all she asks in return is that everyone just do what they are supposed to do. I hate coming on here and seeing bad reviews when this is one of the best rental experiences I have ever had in my life.

Why would anyone take the time to write this bunk! First of all MOLD MOLD MOLD, the "free a/c" doesn't remove moisture when cooling the air like normal a/c, so humidity builds up. This is why numerous apartments have had their carpert ripped out replaced with tile, the other reason is the constant water leaks and carpet gets expensive. Sounds great when the apartment above has tile and the tenant drops something and it sounds like your ceiling is crashing in. I lived here 2004 and it went to HELL when Alice took over. They've gone through numerous employees because they want one person to do unending repairs on the whole property with the least possible pay, and no one will do it for what they pay, but if they do it's a half a&& job. My kitchen ceiling looks like a patchwork quilt from the ghetto patch jobs from water leakes in the above apartment. The Patches aren't even level with the rest of the drywall on the ceiling. "Doing what they're supposed to do?" You sound just like Alice, It seems like all the defensive posts on here are about doing what you're supposed to do and paying rent on time, not being noisy, all about following the rules, read other replies to the posts and see. Alice's attitude is absolutely inflexible condescending, arrogant, and just downright rude. Sorry that you're social security check was late, I'm still charging you late fees anyway, though you've never been late in almost 5 years WHATEVER! That just screams greed and lack of care for anything except the almighty buck, there's no need for nonsense such as that. There's nothing wrong with cutting people slack as long as they don't abuse it. Crap Happens, but you don't charge someone a late fee for one day late that's elderly on social security and they're check is late, and charge all sorts of insane late fees. Which she refused to reverse. My neighbor has lived here many years and see how they treat people, and the other stuff is true, you Obviously haven't lived there long enough. No one stays, big turn over, I watched it through three owners and the new owners and Alice are by far worse than anyone ever before, at least the previous manaager didn't look like an old prune face with a bitter expression on her face as if you'v inconvenienced her when you walk into the office, I was always greeted with a smile. The empty parking lot doesn't lie, too many empty apartments, so naturally there would be plentiful parking. They used to leave the patio blinds pulled open when a unit was empty but I think they may have gotten wise on that because it showed what a large number that are vacant. I recommend that anyone intersted in this place check for mold, crime, and constant water pipes bursting. In addition the office decides when you have heat or air since it's included they aren't too prompt on switching it over, save a buck here, save a buck there. Safety is a joke, I see the police in Sunpointe at LEAST once a week. My lease is almost up and I'm gone, I was stupid to sign another lease soon after new owners and didn't know what a bitter old hag the manager was going to be, the old manager was the only thing that made it tolerable to live here, but they fired her because she was nice and wasn't the greedy petty people that the new owners like to work for them, Alice is only the manager, a total puppet.

Anonymous reply: Your description of Alice could not have painted a much more accurate picture. Good luck ryan! mike got the boot! Good riddance. Overweight, sweaty, oily, "FrEaK" tattoos all over his body kinda maint. He was one dirty dude. The new maint. guy -Ryan- seems to be a really nice youg man. But again your description of Alice was right on point. Condescending, arrogant, rude are all fitting adjectives here.she does most often have a scowl on her face also. -- And yeah, the "doing what your supposed to do" - this is not a nursing home or day care. that condescending attitude is disgusting. Safety issues: can't say I've seen much police activity here. I do like the low electric bill i have each month, and the location is pretty sweet. For the price I think I can hold out till' alice gets canned. Couldn't be too far down the road. This would be a truly wonderful place to live if the management was right. I'd reccomend others to rent here, because I truly believe the clock on alice is ticking, and again once she's out and they get good management here.. And to the initial poster, I don't believe there's any "argument" here at all... you got suckered with alices "nicey-nicey" put on to sign the lease as we all did. Enjoy that illusion while it lasts. Brings an old saying to mind.. "......... is bliss" maybe? --oh, and alice does have her "pet" tennants. maybe you're one of them!!?

Again, I have had no problems here. I don't care if anyone calls me names for saying that I love it here and Alice treats us well. We are not "pet" tenants thank you. We are simply people who obey all the rules (that any apartment complex has). Hell, you even have rules when you are purchasing a house. So no, we don't live in a nursing home or day care, but we do have rules like any other place. If that upsets anyone, too bad. Like everyone else, I have an opinion too. As far as getting caught up in Alice's niceness just to sign a lease, that's all crap! Even to this day, she is very nice and pleasant to us. Maybe it's just because we go to work and come home to relax. We are quiet people to don't bother others around us.

I was thinking of moving from my mobile home to an apartment, about a year ago, and am doing so again. Remembered some of the places I visited last year and looked them up online. Sunpointe Place came to mind, because it includes utilities, and that is what is driving me out of my mobile home (electric bill $289 this month..). After reading the reviews, I remembered my experience with "Alice". I remember telling my daughter, and saying how disappointed I was with that meeting. I had driven around before I went to the office and really liked what I saw on the outside. But when I entered the office, it was a different story. She was preoccupied with something or other and left me standing for quite a while, just looking at brochures. When I told her I was considering moving out of my mobile home and moving soon, she commented on how difficult it is to sell a "mobile", lamenting the fact that she has one in close proximity to this apartment complex and can't get it sold; was a shame she "had" to move on property, to make sure it was managed properly. Then she went on and on about how people abuse their units and neighbors and need a heavy hand to keep them in line; how she is the perfect person for this, and bragging that it used to be a run-down property until she was made manager. She proceeded to document this with stories of fining residents who "broke" the rules. I asked if I could at least see an apartment, so I could get an idea of what it includes, etc., to help me make my decision as to whether I'd want to live there or not. She said, no, she couldn't do that; I'd have a long while before I'd get my mobile home sold, and if I were still interested at that time, then she'd be glad to show me around....!! She just seemed very haughty; almost hateful of renters: not a nice personality. But then, her accent indicates that she was not born in this country, and some European people do appear to have a "superior" attitude, when that is really not the case at all; just their culture. (I am not a threatening-looking person, or unkempt, or anything else undesirable-looking. Drive a new car; work full-time; am only 62years old; have just me and my cat. So I don't know what about me would have put her off.) I do not mind rules; rules, in a community, generally are put in place to keep peace, safety and cleanliness. I am, by nature a clean living, rather quiet person, but don't mind other people's "life" sounds. My daughter agreed with me, said it's a shame; it looks like such a nice place, but not my kind of place to live. Then, she made a trip there, to inquire. Was given the same treatment and told she would be shown around the premises when she was serious about moving... So...since there are 2 good reviews and 2 bad ones, I think sometime I'll go back there for another look, but this time intereview some residents, away from the office.

If they don't care if a child living in that building gets cancer all of a sudden and dies because they turn their heads at facing a mold issue.....then let it be on their conscience......I cannot live with my conscience in allowing something like this to occur and do nothing about it...... I am willing to perform a free air sample test to whoever wants one. Email me your concerns... Amy
