This is a good value apartment, centrally located in Broward County. Demographics are mostly Afriican-American. Community is guarded and patrolled 24/7 by good security guards who provide reliable safety for everyone. Some apartments do not come with blinds on some or all of the windows; if you get one of these, you must furnish your own window treatments. Around 2 dozen apartment buildings, each with a central courtyard and stacked 4 floors high. The Phase 4/5 landlord, Irving Kahn, is an honest, fair and reasonable man - he's one of the very best I've ever encountered. There is also a Phase 3 (different office), and Phases 1 & 2 are condos. Biggest drawback I have seen here is that each building has a central dumpster room with two dumpsters and very little in the way of ventilation, so it is recommended that you hold your nose while entering this room to dump your trash. There are some potholes in the parking lot too, and there are way too many speed bumps. But if you can deal with these little annoyances, and are only interested in decent housing at a good price, Somerset is a pretty good deal.

LOL ONE OF THE EMPLOYEES OF SOMERSET HAD 2 WRITE THIS REVIEW...LOL SOMERSET IS NOT A NICE PLACE 2 STAY....SECURITY IS AT THE GATE 4 SHOW, IF THEY REALLY DID THEIR JOB, THE ENVIROMENT WOULD BE NICER, N THEY WOULD'VE FOUND OUT WHO KILLED THE WOMAN IN THE FRONT BUILDING ....CARS GET STOLEN N BROKE INTO ALL THE TIME...THE STAFF IS RUDE...AND GUYS SIT OUTSIDE N DRINK & SMOKE MARIJUANA....IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE ME, THEN MOVE THERE....YOU'LL SEE EXACTLY WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT...
