1st off, I was the manager from March 24-June 17 and I was a manager that made a difference and cared about the residents and the property. The property itself is not a dump but it's the nasty residents like yourselves that make it what it is. It's not the staff pissing in the stairs and elevators and throwing trash wherever it may lay. It's the residents. And guess what, you are the residents! The staff tries their hardest to change things but the residents dont want change, they enjoy living with trash, roaches and and destroying their carpet making look like mud.

We would spend all day picking up trash, mopping up soda, piss and food just to turn around and come back the next day to look like we did nothing. The resident throws furninture all around the property rather then putting in the 30-yard roll off dumpster. If the residents start taking pride in your home and teach their children to do the same then Whispering Palms would be a nice place to call home.

Wake up Whispering Palm residents and start taking pride in your home!

LOL! Of course you want to remain anonymous. And who are you calling a "retard?" Check yourself anonymous; there are no retards here. I actually have a college degree that enables me to speak my mind and not belittle myself into calling people names. I didn't lie about anything that I wrote about, and if you were as good of an office manager as you claim, you can check my file and see it. Oh, I'm sorry, the office never keeps track of maintanence requests or residents problems or concerns; so you wouldn't be able to, would you? And I think it is so ironic (which means funny) that you are no longer there. During my stay there, there was such a high rate of turn-over, you never knew who to expect to see in the office. Just like now, there is a whole new crew...again. I'm a real woman, so I can honestly tell you that 'YES' a lot of the residents there are nasty. It is BY FAR not solely the problems of management; that is true. But please acknowledge the fact that there are some good residents there. The entire time I lived there I NEVER paid rent late. I picked up the stupid trash that people would leave in the elevators or around my door, and also held the door and elevators for others that were walking in my direction. No, it's not the staff pissing in the hallways and elevators, or throwing the trash on the ground...But it is the staff's job to make sure that the place is clean and presentable; that's what they get paid for. Just like if you were the property manager like you said you were, then it's your job to make sure you don't have residents that have to write responses such as the ones listed above.

Ms.W, I am a bit disappointed on what you wrote about the residents. Not all residents live the way you make it sound. The picture of the filthy rug you posted as being a residents apartment could have been from water damage. Which you know happens in many of the units. I myself had a flood and it took three days for someone to come and take care of the matter and they did not paint the walls or roof which still remains with water stains. I have always paid my rent/water on the first and I keep my unit and the hallway outside my door clean. I do agree that some residents do not clean up after themselves and are extremely unruly. But , that falls on the leasing office. If the leasing office did their job and realy went over the applications properly we would not have this problem. I am sure if someone from the office really researched who are they renting to, then we would not have to deal with the problems that we currently have. The office does not care when a resident complains about an issue nor do they take action. I still have a work order open, which I opened while you were manager and it is still pending. I have given up saying anything, since I will be moving soon. You may remember, some workers came and replaced the hinges on the doors but do not replace the hydraulic door closer. I reported it to you numerous times and all I got was excuse after excuse. The office door has one and you didn't need approval for that one did you ?All night long I hear the door slam and it wakes up my kids at all hours. Remember I have the corner unit.Other situations that you can not blame residents for is: I have also had maintenance tell me that they've lost my unit keys. This has happened three times since I've been a resident. I have had personel walk in my unit without knocking and looking surprised to know I was there. They claimed to have had the wrong unit, but it has happened more than once. When I requested a filter for the A/C, I had to wait until they were ordered, that I do understand, but what I don't understand is why office personel went into my apartment when I was not there to see if I really needed a filter.I did not receive one because office personel said I did not need one because the one I had was not dirty enough. Now I just purchase one at the beginning of each month at publix. Management changes all the time.Four times in 6 months time. Nothing will ever get resolved that way. And let me not forget, bulk garbage and other issues, let residents know where can they discard of these items. I was never informed there was a 30 yard roll off dumpster....... Not enough information is posted or given to the residents. Nothing has been done about all the grown men that hang out and drink at the childrens playground. Management can terminate a lease if the leasee does not comply with the lease signed. There are no excuses to why manangement can not keep order at this property. I will not recommend or renew my lease at Whispering Palms. If you really want a good turn around, try to keep the good tenants and do not renew the bad ones. Its that simple.

Hello Everyone! I used to work at Whispering Palms myself, and it was a huge challenge for me. I would like to first say that not ALL residents in any community are alike. There are some that do not care and there are some that do. Personally, Whispering Palms allowed me to see that there are some people who do not care and those particular people must be cured or evicted. During my time at WP, I evicted many tenants, due to their behavior, rent payments, etc. Although, it made my track record look bad, and I received a lot of tension from corporate, I felt that I made a change in some way. I had a zero tolerance for crime (which I evicted for that reason too). You see, as a property manager you can do your very best to change the community; however, you must attempt one thing at a time, and realize that there are bad and goood in every apartment community. Thanks for reading.

Hello all, Well I am currently residing at Inverrary 441 apts a little down the road from WP. My sister told me about these apts like sometime early this year. Rent is cheaper and it's more spacious then where im at now. I was actually planing on moving their after my lease is up here. This is highly upsetting because what I've read about the complaints and residents. I was trying to leave here. i.e pissy hallways, ignorant people who don't care about how they live, but ROACHES!!!! That makes me want to stay right where I am, cant tolerate roaches. My sister's apt looks nice and clean, she like I have kids. My fiance and i liked the idea of the park and bigger one across the street to let them run freely have fun. But to see older grown men hanging around on kiddie grounds with no siblings makes me very cautious and worried. I mean the one and only time i let my kids play on the what they call a play ground over here, I saw a open condom by the sliding board and they've no been back out their since. I admit the cleaning staff over here at least cleans up the pissy staircases and keep the hallways clean. TO MR/MS IRAR I would have a fit if some staff came into my apt without my consent or my fiance and kids are their by themselves...Im beginning to think is the cheaper rent really worth it ....We and my partner has alot to think about.... T/U
