I really enjoy living is this community:) It has so.. many activities for us residents. I enjoy the weekly shuffle board games and the socializing around the pool. I moved down here from Ohio and love the weather and the friendly atmosphere in my community. I would recomend it to anyone who is moving to FL or anyone who would like to live in an affordable senior active community.

I Agree with this tenant, I love Heron Pond, moved here from S. Florida. Love to watch the birds, ducks in the clear canal that looks like a river as well as the Pond. The tenants and staff are very friendly, we have daily activities, a Club House, a huge swimming pool, library, free high speed Internet computer room, an activities director that makes sure there are fun activities each day. It is very quiet, you do not hear any noise from cars, planes, nothing just so good to relax and sleep at night. They even throw a party every month for all that are having a birthday that month. The manager is friendly and kind, as well as the leasing agent, the Activites director is actually my neighbor on my same building and floor, we all look out for one another and care about everyone else; it's like one big family. There is a free Gym as well as exercise classes and so much more. I feel I am living in heaven! I would never leave from here. Another awesome thing is that all the stores, including a 24 hr. Walmart Superfood Center, 24 CVS, etc., are withing walking distance. However, for those that do not drive, there are two bus services available.

This place sounds lovely, I am moving to the area soon and was wondering. My mother is 76 and I am her primary care giver, are there others there that are under 55, and if you could please tell me is there a waiting list. Thank you so much Vanessa

This is an active 55 community with 20% 18 and over. So, to answer your question, yes, as a matter of fact, my next door neighbor works, lives there by herself, is a wonderful lady and she is in her 30's. Also on the first floor of my building is a an older lady who lives with her 41 year old daughter who works. There is no waiting list at all, as a matter of fact there are 4 brand new buildings with views of Heron Pond and the river like canal that were just finished, just waiting for tenants, so come on down, we will all welcome you with open arms. Although most people living here came from somewhere up north in another State, word is spreading around about this wonderful place and I myself moved here from South Florida. Here in West Florida, we have so many nice things, such as the Thomas Edison home and laboratory museum, something no one should miss, also the Ford Museum, we have a 4 year old International Airport (South West Florida International Airport), there is the most beautiful shopping center I have ever seen, full of royal palm trees which are have lights at night, and I lived in Colorado where there are some wonderful ones, but this one tops it all, it has all kinds of stores, all kinds of restaurants, such as Carabba's Italian Grill and many more, there is even a Hotel inside the Shopping Center, there is a Ron Surf Shop, a Bass Pro Shop, a playground for the kids, it is really an experience to go to, we also have the Edison Mall and any restaurant of every kind, american, buffet, ethnic, such as authentic Mexican, Thai, Chinese, Cuban, Italian, German, you name it, and of course Ft. Myers beach, Bonita Springs Beach and Naples Beach. A tremendous amount of golf and country clubs. There is something for everyone here. Please come on down, you will love it here. Apartments are very spacious, all doors and hallways inside each apartment are wheelchair wide, there are various apartments with wheelchair showers, my apartment has two master bedrooms with two master bedrooms, a split floor plan, walk-in closets, washer/drier room, large kitchen with pantry, living/dining room combination, it is almost 900 sq. feet with water view, a corner unit on the third floor. We have elevators of course in each building.
