I moved into Camden Club approximately 3 years ago and I thought that I was moving into a great place as a new resident to Central Florida. The property appeared to be upkept on a daily basis and the rent was reasonable. All that quickly changed. The office staffs' nice attitudes seemed to have changed for the worse and the grounds became unclean. Very few maitenance staff workers were courteous and out of all the times I called for a service request, I can only remember 1 time that it was completed within 24 hours. When I would call the office (as a reminder of the service needed), I could sense that they just didn't care. I believe that due to the other properties around the community converting to condos, Camden Club has adopted this "you need us" attitude that is not very welcoming. The rent is unbelievable, especially if you consider the upgrades that are needed to this community. Mold is everywhere!!! The appliances are ancient. A little paint would be nice. The garbage is collected throughout the week from a "tacky" bin in front of the apartment doors, but the collectors come at late hours of the night and they can be quite disturbing. Also, the steps are visibly dirty from where they drag the trash down to an even more eye soar of a compactor (I still cannot understand why I should pay an extra fee per month to have trash removed from my doorstep and it's taken directly to the trash compactor in the community!!). I recommended 2 of my coworkers to the property some time ago, but the staff was so discourteous and unattentive, that one terminated her lease shortly after; the other lost her deposit (she made the right decision based on what happended). The rent here is VERY inconsistent and in speaking with several other tenants, it's very hard to determine what logic is used in determining who pays what. There are quite a few stray cats in the community that should be addressed, as well as the noise and speed level of cars. I understand that some of the district managers have changed....they need to make sure that those changes are consistent with all levels.

I agree! They were offering "new tenants" the rate of $200 less per month than what they were renewing my lease for. In order to get the lower rent, I would have to move into another unit! & you can't fight a mega corp! That mandatory "trash" pickup is just a way for them to nickel and dime the tenants!
