When I was looking for an apartment in Melbourne, I didn't have the luxury of actually visiting the buildings and checking them out...I just did my apartment shopping online. Bridgewater Pointe seemed to score the highest according to this website, so I went with it. And I must say, it has lived up to all of my expectations. It's a very good value for the money. Here's a list of my personal pros and cons for future residents. Note that this may not apply to all units in the complex. These are just my observations:
Pros
- Friendly neighbors
- Nice area (i.e. NOT ghetto)
- Quiet (at least on my side of the building...can't speak for others)
- Short drive to almost anywhere you need to go
- Lots of visitor parking
- Large screened-in porch
- Comes with kitchen appliances and washer/dryer
- Free Basic Cable TV
Cons
- No ceiling fans
- Somewhat outdated appliances
- Awkward layout of one of the bathrooms
So there you go. I don't know anything about the maintenance crew because I haven't had to use them yet. Good luck with your apartment shopping.
