Hi I am a new resident, and thought I would speak up.

So far, everything has gone reasonably well. Over the past 10 years, I have rented probably 7 apartments, because my job requires I move frequently. In my opinion, this apartment complex is par for the course for the price range.

Things I really like:
The floorplan of the Loft apartment is GORGEOUS! very very nice. I decided to spend the extra to get this apartment

Reasonable pet deposits. This is also a plus for me, as I have a cat.

Nice looking community with a lot of ammenities.

Things I am not too keen on:

The cable company agreement. They use a low technology cable co that offers very little, called Telemedia. The complex has an agreement with this cable company. I didn't like being restricted on my choices and not having Brighthouse available. There was a work around however, through Bellsouth and DirectTV.

Required renters insurance. Another case where they have worked out a deal with a local broker. But if you do some research, you can find renters insurance cheaper elsewhere.

These reviews are frightening me a little, however, someone else said before that if you are dissatisfied, you are more likely to write a review than if you are satisfied. I just wish we had a less skewed view here, a few customers who weren't looking for a place to complain. However, this is, like i said, slightly alarming, especially the increase in crime in the area.

Rumors of condo conversion in the near future. This is a big problem in this area. And it frightens me as i have had to move before for this very same reason. I did contact the local real estate board, the complex and the developer who all assured me that this complex has not been sold.

They are just a little pricey, although at the top of the normal range for what they offer.

That being said, the management staff has been pretty decent to me so far, answering my multiple calls and hundreds of questions. They were also reasonable about putting me on a wait for an apartment I wanted and kept their promise to call me back as soon as it became available.

so, I hope this helps someone else out. I say the place is not horrible and not great, but average for the price range. Not too bad for a savvy renter in this area as there is little to choose from around here.

Hello - McFly... There is no real estate board in Brevard County. Get your facts straight!

there are 3 facts about caribbean isle
fact 1: these apartments have been sold and will be condos soon.
fact 2: management here sucks
fact 3: they are fixing things up around here but thats only because of fact 1 .

I completely agree with outlaw101 - they WILL be going condo. I used to live at Regency Place (now "Coral Garden"...give me a break) and after last year's hurricanes, I saw them fixing them up much nicer than they had to. Now they are condo. The few things they are doing around here I am sure are because they are going to sell this place. But who in their right mind would buy one of these pieces of ----???

well you all better get your facts straight. yes they are in the process of selling and no they have not been sold yet. as for being condo no one in their right mind would buy them(wood frame) right!! no sprinkler systems to list a few things that anyone paying more than we are would demand.

Who in their right mind would buy a wood frame, termite riddled and carpenter ant eaten complex with a management staff with an equitable IQ of 3. I have lived here since 98 and the last 2 years have been the pits.

oh yeah.. I forgot..the laundry room is digusting!!! Its easier and cleaner for you to rent one or buy one for your unit instead!!! Take my advice and make another choice when renting an apt!!
