There are alot of issues that need to be taken care of, like sidewalks that are not even when tree roots have uprooted the side walk and makes a liability issue if in the dark walking to your apartment in an underlit area you trip over the sidewalk. Overgrown trees and bushes that some unsavory individuals can hide it near the apartments and attack unsuspecting residents. These are just a few major issues that need to be addressed. True, your lease states that they do not provide security. But Landlord-tenet laws for the State of Florida do state that the resident is entitled to the following per PIRQ thru Mega-Law.com. Your landlord may even be liable for crimes committed against tenants by strangers, when they were reasonably foreseeable, and the landlord s negligence allowed the crime to happen. Which per previously stated would maek the above stated conditions a liability. Maybe this posting will get someone to wake up.
