Cypress Cove Apartments
AVERAGE RATING

Cypress Cove is a great place to rent. The common areas are well kept and the landscaping is very attractive. The rental managment staff are very helpful and nice. Building is well constructed, you rarely hear a noise. Even w/ families surrounding. Built like a condo. We've been here a year and love it. Close to the Avenues, Restaurants, Publix (just in front) and Target. Makes the Coast not so remote... Well worth the rent!

Worst management(Ann Thompson) I've ever see. Please read this before you make the mistake we did.4/01/2006 I Kevin and Ann along with our four month son moved into 11110 Atlantic Blvd apartment 103 at Cypress Cove. At move in a few things was notice about apartment (which was not the apartment we was shown promised and left a deposit on). Outlet plates throughout the apartment was broken, the blinds were mixed matched and appeared have been eaten by an animal of some sort, the stove was old (the temperature numbers had worn off), the refrigerator was old and the door would not remain closed, the track to the patio door was bent in the middle and the screen would not remain in place and the glass door it's self would always jump off track, the bathroom cabinet was sunk in that looked to be from water damage, the closet shelves were broken and the closet door constantly fell. All these things we noticed at move in or with the first week after. The leasing was informed via the move in check list, however two months later nothing was fixed. When questioned the office manager first said that the original maintenance man quit and that they were a little behind. A month from that the manager said the parts was on order (three months?) By this time the stove it's self was a major safety issue, sometimes while cooking on low heat it would burn hot and sometime on hot the stove would not turn on at all, the manager was constantly informed of this however still nothing was done. Finally we contacted the property owners Benchmark out of New York and after five months of living in these conditions Benchmark sent two gentlemen to fix almost everything, they informed us that Tim the on site maintenance man the not trained to fix most the things on our list and that Benchmark had sent them because of the number of complaints from other tenants. I would like to say that this was the end of our problems, but we also had problems with the heating, on four separate occasions the heater broke registering temperatures between 59-65 degrees in the apartment. Finally two weeks ago at the end of our lease we decided to move but not with further incident. On the day of moving we were informed that we were not allowed to park the moving truck on the grass(no grass red mulch) but it was OK when we moved in, next they turned the sprinklers on so that we had to walk thought the spray(only in our building). Now we've received a final bill totaling $1283.02 this is as stated on the bill 764.02 for carpet replacement, 69.00 cleaning bathtub-toilet-patio-counters etc, 75.00 extra paint to cover marks on walls, 25.00 food left in fridge and nasty 100.00 month to month charges, 43.00 oven and stove filthy plus drip pan replace 132.00 rent 75.00 trash. Now first the carpet needs to be cleaned not replaced cleaning of the bathtub toilet patio counters was as we understood was a one time cleaning charge for the complete apartment, The patio was their doing when them washed down the above apartment's patio (the tenant before had a dog) onto our patio and every thing on it including our stuff. Extra paint? for what crayon, also a part of general cleaning. Month to month charge we agree to. Oven and stove again general cleaning. Rent ? at $26.00 at day for the 1st - the 4th that's $104.00. Trash? GENERAL CLEANING. Now we have been given a notice from the property manager Ann Thompson that we had ten days from the date post on the notice (the 5th of May) to dispute the amount, however the notice was not posted marked til the 13th and May. At present time we have disputed the amount but to the posted date from the postmaster and at present time the apartment remains unlocked as left by the property manager Ann Thompson.
