We were assured this was a quiet place to live. The model they showed us was very nice. I asked to see one of the apartments other than the model, but they said none were available for us to look at.

Shortly after we moved in we received a rude awakening. The apartment was anything but quiet. There is no sound dampening between floors. We can hear the residents above when they vacuum, when they walk, when they run their water, when they are in the bathroom and when their dogs are playing it makes us feel like we are living in a bowling alley. The stairs are next to our bedroom and we are often awakened by the vibration of someone coming down. It is a big effort to try to open the windows to let in air. We can open the sliding glass door in the bedroom, but it faces the out side air conditioning units which only adds to the already unbearable noise problem here.

We do not fault our neighbors. They are good hard working folks. If there was some sound dampening between floors, the noise might not be such an issue, but there isn't.

Our plumbing has been a constant issue. The screens on the sliding glass doors do not fit. The water pressure is quite low and the hot water runs out quickly. The gaps in the doors cause extra cooling expense. In a moderate wind the door rattles and the startling sound makes you think someone is trying to break in.

In this complex you pay one price for water whether or not you use a single drop. The hot tub should be called the cold tub because it seems to be down a lot more than it is working.

On a positive note, the folks in the office are very nice people. I enjoy talking with them when the opportunity permits. Unfortunately, they cannot do anything to improve the condition of living here.

Bottom line as far as we are concerned, for the amount of rent we pay, the cost far exceeds the value of the service. If I knew last year what I know now, I would not have rented.
