Good value, nice safe & quiet community

Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2006
I lived in one of the "small" one bedroom units for two years. Overall, I would say Saratoga was a great place to live.
There are no assigned parking spaces, but there is ample room for everyone. The spaces are on the small side, but I never had my car damaged. About half of the spaces are covered under a carport. If you have a small boat or trailer, there are some extra large spaces for you to keep them.
The noise was minimal. I rarely heard anything other than my upstairs neighbor walking or an occasional external door closing. I lived on the "pond" side of the building and heard almost nothing while I was on my porch. Some of my neighbors complained about the noise from Andretti Thrill Park next-door, but they close at nine during the week and would turn their music down when requested.
I called the maitenance number twice while I lived there and they were prompt at fixing my problems. One of the times I called was at 2am when my dishwasher overflowed and was flooding my kitchen floor. The maitenance man was at my door within a half hour. The apartments recieved moderate hurricane damage in 2004 (some buildings were worse than others) which delayed repairs somewhat, but everything eventually got fixed. I recieved all new carpeting and professional cleaning after hurricane Frances.
I always felt safe in my apartment. I never saw anyone walking through our property that didn't belong there. My neighbors always helped look out for each other, and would notify others if anyone they didn't recognize was near the building. Managment at the time was Walden Properties and they were great. I would definitly live there again if I moved back to the area.
