Summerset is ran by slow maintenance guys. When they do fix your requests, they do a sloppy, half-as* (butt) job. I live on the 1st floor and 2 pipes have broken under the apartment in 2 years. One a year, i guess thats a descent number...NOT!!! It took them days to fix it. Very Very Very slow to fix hurricane damages to the property. The swiming pool, tennis courts, landscaping. Not to mention i had to wait 10 months(still waiting)to get my screen on my porch fixed from the storms, in result i had
spiders, bees, and lizards make homes on the porch, which in my eyes defeats the purpose of even having a screened in porch. They lose paper work in the front office and blame you for not turning it in. Thier ladies that work in the front office are rude and don't like to be bother with your problems. On the issue about my screened proch, after the 9th month of being told that it would get fixed, i got fed up with it and had to get in a shouting match with them about it. Thier response was if i wasn't happy to move out. That it's not their job to make me happy. I promise you if i had the money to break my lease i would have glady done so. Probably would have been the best money i've spent.
but they charge you an arm and a leg to break the lease. I got 3 months left here and i'm counting down till i can leave this dump. They have good prices here, but spend the extra money a month a go some where else. It will be worth it than to be treated this way by them. I had a major AC
problem, they took weeks not days to fix it. Thier reply was to either find a hotel, or stay with family.But they still charged me the same amount of money that month.
They do thier own lawn work and the grass never gets cut on time. They wait till it is super long before they cut it. They do have a company do their pest control, who does come once a month, but the spray they use, would not kill anything. Although my bug problem was not too bad. Surrounding neighboors who i have talked to have some major issues with bugs and roaches. so it's a gamble. Never missed a month of rent, and was late 2 days one time and they still treat you like crap. They want thier money but do not want to do the responsabilites of an apartment owner. The price is one of the cheapest in brevard county, but i now really believe in you get what you pay for. In that case they should charge about $100 dollars a month. Summerset is the worst place to live if your single, young, old, and especially if you have kids or pets! Do not live here! I wouldn't let myworst enemy live here. I thought that it would get better after the 1st year, but it got worse and continues to get worse. So from a parent to you...DON'T EVER MOVE INTO SUMMERSET APARTMENTS.
