I lived at Summerset for two years. I loved the back screened porch, but that was about all that I loved about the apartment.

This was the first apartment that I had rented. I was late when I made the appointment to sign the papers to move in. The management was not ok with that, they were upset with me for being tardy. So I ended up signing the contract without first seeing the apartment.

I was given the most run down apartment they probably had available. I went to vacuum my rug in my living room. Instead of replacing this badly stained carpet, they had patched it. When I vacuumed, part of the rug literally came up off the floor clogging my vacuum. The apartment was very dirty when I first rented it. I had to take a knife to clean the grime from the outline of the sink, there was a little tear in the screen from the back porch, the doors where the washer and dryer went never ever stayed on.
I didnt like the layout of the apartment.

I dont have a problem with people of other ethnics, but it is very hard to commmunicate with the management. It's hard to understand them. And they get impatient and aggrivated with attitudes fast.

The rent was reasonable and the pool was ok. The neighbors were pretty quiet and kept to themselves for the most part.
The bedrooms are very large, but bathrooms are of a normal size. The closets are also large. This apartment community is a little bit older then some of the other ones in this Lake Washington area.
If you were single with children it seemed then you would get a run down apartment with an already stained rug and they didnt care about the cleanliness they would give the apartment to you in. I toured and talked to many of my neighbors and this theory seemed to be consistent. The tenants with either no kids or with a two parent household recieved better treatment and a clean apartment with new carpet.
Upon moving out I was charged off my deposit $25 in labor to put the doors back up off the washer/dryer that never ever stayed on and also $75 to replace the screen that was originally tore when I had moved in.
If you do decide on Summerset be picky when writing down whats wrong with the apartment upon move in or you will be charged when you move out.
