I wish I knew about this web site years ago. The management at this place is the pits:

- The A/C in my 1-bedroom apartment was a wall unit like you'd find in a cheap motel. In the summer of 2003 it broke down numerous times, often forcing me to either do without A/C or use a window unit. The management assured me I had the highest priority to have my wall unit replaced with central A/C but they replaced it in the EMPTY apartment below me FIRST, forcing me to do without for another 1-2 months.

- Even with the new A/C, the maintenance guys stopped by one Friday afternoon while I was at work to replace the filter. They left it in a non-working condition! (i.e., the circuit breaker was popped and could not be reset). By the time I got home, they had already left for the day, and fixing the A/C in the middle of summer was not deemed an emergency to come back on the weekend, so I had to do without A/C all weekend.

- The laundry facilities are woefully inadequate -- 8 washers and dryers for 400 residents to share. If even one or two washers or dryers broke down, that caused long waits to wash clothes, even in the middle of the night. The management was very cavalier about getting them fixed, particularly on the weekends.

- When said laundry room burned down in 2001 at around 5:45 PM, the management went home at 6 PM like it was a normal day, despite the laundry room being attached to a row of apartments (including mine) where people were living. They were very slow to rebuild the laundry room or even provide information about when it would be rebuilt. It was months before they even took the yellow crime scene tape down.
