The place itself is quite comfortable, however it is older (from teh 80's) and requires attention as needed. The management has recently changed hands and the new property manager is absolutely horrifying. Her name is Mora (not sure of sp) and I have yet to meet another tenant who has had anything less than an awful encounter with her. I don't mind the place so much, but if I met this woman before moving in I would have slapped her face and left. When you have a real problem that we as tenants are not physically/legally/etc able to deal with, there's pretty much nothing you can do, period. You essentially have no one to report it to. It's quite unbelievable that she, as the property manager, doesn't seem to feel that she's responsible for problems that occur on the grounds (problems that clearly create a breach of contract if not addressed by her). If you decide that the location and the quality of this place will surpass this horrid property manager, remember that you'll have to wait weeks/months to have problems addressed if it requires her participation/approval. She is on her own time schedule, feels she is above dealing with your problems, clearly doesn't understand her job description, and doesn't care about you. You will be last on her list and at her leisure. I recommend that you ask for the Home Owners Association information (or whoever it is that owns the complex) BEFORE signing the lease. Once you have a problem and get frustrated enough, her neglect will definitely make you want to speak with her boss. She will tell you directly that you're not important enough to speak to anyone above her and will refuse to release her supervisors contact information. It is very unreal, BE CAREFUL
2 most recent examples: 1) Someone requested a gym key for the new gym and she refused his rights to use it. She lost his lease and told him that in addition to not recieving a gym key, he wouldn't be recieving his deposit. All because she lost his lease and won't work to find a way around it. UNBELIVABLE!
2) Many people are without cable/internet...for 2 weeks now! Mora doesn't feel that is her problem. She'll deal with it when fairy of managerial probelms enters the office and does it for her. As a tenant, Brighthouse can not work through you, SHE has to do it. Also, the apartments are strictly assigned to Brighthouse, you can't have another service out here. She is letting condos, one by one, lose the cable wires and "it's not her problem." If cable/internet is important to you, make sure your rental can really provide the cable/internet that YOUR LEASE STATES it CAN PROVIDE. I am trying to take classes for my graduate school and much of it is online...I can't do my work!
I am so fed up with her already that I can't handle it anymore. I am only half way through this years lease and she has gone so far as to void my contract and not even care (or she's to ignoratnt to realize it). I hate moving more than anything in this world but I'll be out at the end of the month. Unfortunately for them, there's nothing they can do.
