We lived here in 2007 in a one bedroom and upgraded to a 2 bedroom. This was around or after the time of the switch to condos. The location is amazing, but the buildings have clearly aged with time. I think they were build in the early 1980's. The European washer/dryer combo in the 1 bedroom was a piece of junk and was located in the kitchen. Not user friendly and took forever to complete a load. The gate worked, sometimes. The exit gate frequently got off-track or something and could not be used so it was left open. Went to the pool once with my friend and we encountered a creepy drunk homeless man at the pool. Told you the gate wouldn't work. If you rent here now, I think the owner is required to take care of the maintenance (see other posts). The apartments have character but I wonder about the longevity of the wood construction through more hurricane seasons. Should places like this do mold and air duct checks' Hmmm.
