If you subtract the reviews that are obviously written by management...ahem...you know who you are...virtually all of the 39 reviews that I read before writing this review have NOTHING good to say about 1550 Brickell.

Here is what I have to say........

---QUALITY OF LIFE
The "gym building" is half way completed and it's already been a year. 50 story skyscrapers have been COMPLETED in the surrounding area in the same amount of time it took them to get half way done with this marvel of a gym. 1550 must bounce a lot of checks or something...

---SAFETY
The greaseballs this place hired to work on the new gym building look like homeless bums and they don't all go home after work, they LINGER!! That's right! They hide out with the maintenance staff and do god knows what. Bottom line- between the shady staff this building hires and the construction workers who have a run of the place-and will for a long time, there is always a steady flow of shady people hovering around 1550. Sometimes it's hard to distinguish the bums that work on the gym and the maintenance staff you think you are familiar with.

---PARKING
Construction takes up about a third of all parking space, so be prepared to park in the guest parking lot if you come home late.

---ELEVATORS
There are two elevators in this five story apartment building. One of the two elevators is almost always out of order. Very often, both elevators are out of order. Stairwells are always locked (elevator is the building's only means of escalation, probably for insurance reasons). IF THIS IS TOO DETAILLED THEN FIX THE PROBLEM!!! I LIVE HERE AND I HAVE NIGHTMARES OF THIS!!! I HAVE A FEAR OF FIRE AND BEING TRAPPED IN A BURNING BUILDING, AND THE WAY THEY SET IT UP WITH THE BROKEN ELEVATORS AND LOCKED STAIRWELL DOORS IT IS SO UNSAFE!!! People spend hours waiting in the lobby for off-site maintenance to arrive and unlock the stairwell doors. This process has repeated itself on a weekly basis since I moved here over a year ago. HONESTLY THIS IS THE WORST PART OF LIVING HERE- THE FREAKIN ELEVATORS!!!

POOL It looks nice but it's always dirty. No wonder the only people that swim in that pool go when they're drunk after they get back from a club.

MAIL I actually receive about half the mail sent to me.

I hope this was helpful. I think 1550 brickell has a lot of potential but in its current state I believe it is a nightmare to live here.
