I don't want to give out to much of my information, but I will just say that I used to live in a very quiet community out of state and I was very nervous to move to a big city like Miami, but I had to do it for my education. I just transferred to UM Grad School, and was looking for a nice quiet place to live when I stumbled upon this little jewel of a place . I read all of the negative comments and I will not get into a war with any of you who lived here before, but what mattered to me was what it is now. I love it because I just jump on the people mover and go to school, I don't even need to worry about driving, which is great for me . I have a great gym already here, so I don't have to pay any membership fees, and I don't have to commute anywhere to get my workout. It sounds like you guys went through a lot, if these stories are even true, but it really has changed from what I can see and from what I have heard from the people I have met here. Good luck!!

Management seems to be doing a good "damage control" job by writing these fake postings, bottom line is this place is a dumpster.

No offense, but think this person just has low standards. Or, they don't mind being taken for a ride. Even if you are satisfied with 1550 Brickell's paltry amenities, the place is overpriced for what you get. They seem to write good English, which would rule out the poster coming from Latin America and being used to low standards and dysfunction. I think that the few people I met at 1550 whole told me they were satisfied were actually from Latin America. Hence the term "Immigrant Luxury" @ 1550 Brickell. They probably got along great with the "No speakie English" night guards.

You may think you have high standards, but you are a sheep if you buy into 1550 being a nice place. It is far from that. I see you are a UM Grad student. Me too, only I had to break my lease and leave because I couldn't find peace and quiet to study. Screeching screwdrivers, sawing, vehicle noise, pounding, thin windows, and the proximity to US-1 and its concrete surface might have had something to do with the lack of tranquility there. 1550 would fit in perfectly over in Kendall, but in downtown Miami, it is horribly outclassed and way overpriced.

Blanco122213 I am not sure how long it has been since you have lived here or what you went through when you did live here, but I spend all day in my apartment studying (my apartment is on the front of the building so I am right over the street and maybe it is the hurricane windows but I have more than enough peace and quiet to study. It is very tranquil. Also, from your comments it sounds like you were here during all the construction that I have read so much about, but that is complete now, so I do not hear any sawing or vehicle noises (I will not comment on the noise of screwdrivers - as I have never heard a loud screwdriver, lol). Stop by and see the property that you left behind sometime, I guarantee it is nothing like you make it sound. Good luck :)

I have very high standards, but I did not want to go to a busy high rise where I would have to deal with lines for elevators, going round and round in parking lots, and all the noise of construction that is going on in most of the high rises in the area. I wanted to find somewhere cozy and serene but still have MIAMI accessible to me. That is exactly what I found here. I am as American as they come, and I seem to write much better English than you "sucksballs" because your comments don't even make any sense. But that is OK. As to you "anonymous" grow a pair and stand behind your comment by at least using your username. You should really get a life rather than waiting for people to post something positive just to rip them. I imagine more and more people will begin posting good comments. I have talked to some other tenants here about this website and have encouraged them to also comment because it is really sad that previous tenants are ripping this place, when it is a beautiful, quiet, cozy community that many of us are VERY happy living in.

1550 Brickell will always be a dump! How can you say that it is a quiet place to live when the buildings are right in front of a major highway (US-1)? Also, the ceiling in your unit is your neighbors floor--there is no insulation! You can hear people move the chairs every time they have dinner. Plus, the management office is staffed by ghetto trash (typical Miami low lives) and the building is owned by a loser; I am about to tell all his neighbors that he is a slum lord and forward them all these posts.
