I live here because of the price I have on my rental but am trying to get out. As soon as possible. The building is horribly maintained, which is why they are constantly having to jury-rig little fixes to keep it semi-operational. The A/C does not work. It s central air and they aren t going to replace the chillers and make much needed repairs any time soon. And they won t let you have a window unit. And there s mold. And leaks. The elevators are ALWAYS breaking. The laundry rooms are dirty and the machines don t clean your clothes well. People are rude. The older residents are nosy and can t figure out how to mind their own business. A few of them seem to get off on trying to make other people s lives difficult. There s a bit of a roach problem. They turn the water off ALL THE TIME. Yeah there s parking but not enough for all the units and you can t get a residential permit here. Plus, the way they run the parking decal sale is the most ridiculous process. I m sure it works just fine for the elderly who don t have to go to work or for people who stay home all day, but for anyone with a real job it s a royal pain in the ass. And did I mention there aren t enough spaces' The lot has never been all the way full and yet they won t sell just 5 or 10 extra decals why' Because they ve never done it. Talk about close-minded. You can t get anything fixed. The board can t seem to get anything done. The security guards are rude. (Unless you speak Spanish.) The office staff is just awful. The WORST. Seriously, do you think she could get off her personal cell phone call and help me' Without the dirty look because I have, apparently, interrupted' The view is nice depending on your unit but you don t have a balcony. There is always construction. They threaten to fine people for doing things wrong in the building but never do, so the problems just multiply. There is no neighborly attitude with anyone in the building. People steal. I wouldn t recommend this building to anyone. I m just counting the days until I can leave. And, yes, I'm posting this anonymously in case one of the busy-bodies comes across it and tries to exact revenge. I only wish I were kidding.
