This is a great little set of apartment buildings located just a couple of blocks east of Alton, across the street from Flamingo Park. There is usually parking since we are able to use the Park's parking lot with our Zone 2 passes. The studio apartment is roomy.

Problem is management. You are never able to get a hold of him when needed. The voicemail box is always full. He never answers his cell phone, Repairs can take days. A leaky faucett that was flooding both my apartment and the downstairs took him 2 days. The broken A/C took another couple of days. If something breaks on thursday afternoon, it won't be fixed until at least monday or tuesday. Speaking of the A/C, the unit is too underpowered for my apartment. It only cools about 1/4 of the space and it vibrates so much you have to max out the volume on the TV to be able to hear it. The AC is also full of mold and mildew, but complaints fall on deaf ears. He feels that as long as it works there is no sense in changing it.

If someone who cared were to take over this diamond in the rough, it would be such a pleasant place to live.

We lived in this building for 2 years from 2005-2007 and we had the exact same problems. The AC was loud and way underpowered. We had a leaky faucet for almost 5 months. Most of the lights in our unit were not functional probably because the wiring is so old. We waited 3 months for them to fix them. We also had a broken window from Hurricane Wilma that was never fixed for the 2 years we lived there. There seems to be no insulation in the units, so all of the cold air from the AC goes right outside after you turn it off for 2 minutes. Theres 3 washer and dryers for the entire building and half the time none of them are working. When we moved in we were told they were rebuilding the laundry facility, but that never happened. Its a shame the property managers dont do more to fix this place up or maintain the units, the studios are pretty large and the neighborhood is great compared to other areas on the beach.
