Terrible management

This building underwent a big overhaul a couple of years ago, so everything looks bright and shiny. The pool area is beautiful, and the the views from the bay side are spectacular. Underneath, however, this is an old building and things do tend to go wrong. Also, the apartment walls are quite thin, so even not-so-loud neighbors can be heard through them. Generally, to avoid noise, you're actually better off with an apartment on the street side rather than the bay side, since West Avenue isn't such a busy street and many people use the pool area behind the building for parties. Many of the tenants are young, loud, and rude.
And that brings us to the biggest drawback of this place: the management. They are an absolute nightmare to deal with -- they do not show the slightest inclination to assist anyone with problems. They will often lie to you -- Yvette, who handles parking and many other management issues, is the worst offender, though others can also be bad as well. Generally, if you need to get in touch with them over a rent or maintenance problem, you will have to call them at least four times before you get a useful response, and don't be nice or they'll totally ignore you.
Finally, parking is quite expensive, and inconvenient unless you are able to get one of the spots under the building. (For some reason, they often lie about the availability of these spaces.) Qlkxv6lfLuuXn3BrtpO7
