After signing a lease, I read the reviews on this site and wasn't very happy. Had no choice but to move in three weeks ago. Well I have come to the conclusion that the reviews were written by persons who were disgruntled and had some ax to grind. My experiences have been extremely positive. They have been receptive to all my requests and have exceeded my expectations. They are extremely cooperative and anxious to please. The leasing agent, Larry Yakubov, has been wonderful and so helpful to ease the transition into my new apartment. If I have a question, it is answered. Everyone is mannerly and makes every effort to assist. Yes, it is an older building but that is what you want in South Beach. The location is priceless and the value for the apartment is the best in South Beach. Unfortunately, it is a community and one can't choose who your neighbor will be. If they are dirty, there will be more bugs. But I am careful with no dirty dishes in the sink, taking out the garbage, etc. and except for two palmettos, no problem. The first palmetto was dead (a good thing) and the second one was on the way out and easy to corner. There is weekly bug control. All you have to do is call. If not, it is your fault. Mold. Certainly if you keep windows open which you are warned about when signing the lease, it will happen. I don't open them and there is no problem in my apartment. It is cool and dry. It is quiet and furthermore, I feel secure coming and going at night. There is a police car stationed outside three nights during the weekend and security circles the building at intervals. Sure, I had to clean after moving in to bring it up to my standards but so what' I plan to stay here for awhile. Happy about the move. There are 551 apartments, so a few persons who are unhappy would be expected. It is not perfection and nowhere is but if given the opportunity, I would make the move again. My review for this place is a "5", not a "3". They do not give you an opportunity to rate it.

i think this one out of all of them was most balanced. All that complain about parking, hmmm its South Beach, thats why they issue resident passes for street parking. As for age of the building, once again its South Beach. South Beach has the largest collection of buildings on the National Historic registry, therefore many buildings are old. If people did their research they would realize most of the buildings present on Miami Beach were built between 1930-1970. I think of all the complaints made on this location the only possibly relevant one is the mold. Elevators will be a problem in buildings this size, my current location is only 7 floors and has problems so calm down. If anyone can give a fair residents opinion not involving the complaints, I just justified above email me please, as I'm interested in this building. Basically if you can give a justified reasoning behind your feelings like the guy above. the_c03@yahoo.com
