blue lagoon is nice on the outside... but the management is the worst. the manager doesn't return phone calls and when you stop by the office for a meeting, she is always "at lunch". it gets discouraging when the management doesn't have the time or courtesy to see you or return calls. Neighbors of mine who live in a different building on th same site had warned us about moving here. we SHOULD have listened to them. The manager and her staff are the worst. I had a packege mailed to me and had a trace put on it only to find out that the package had been delivered and was sitting in the rental office almost 3 weeks and nobody called or left a message telling me this. Luxury living' NOT HERE

You think you had a bad experience? HA!
The manager Sarah wanted to cut me a deal and only charge me 1/2price for a parking space if I would pay her in cash. What kind of an operation are they running there?

Blue Lagoon Contact Log Part 2

Wednesday, February 28, 2007??? 3:20pm Went into the rental office to turn in the keys to our apartment as it was our last day of the lease and we were told that the apartment was for sale and that they would not consider a month to month until it was sold. I had with me the clickers (for the entrance gate), the parking permits for both of our cars and 2 sets of keys as issued at the start of the lease. I was there is the rental office to return these items and do the final walkthrough inspection with management. I was told by Sara???s new assistant that they did not perform walkthroughs after 3:00pm (the rental /business office was normally open to 6:00pm). After explaining that I was not made aware of this policy, that I could arrange to come back the following day at a time of their convenience as long as I would not be obligated for any additional days of rent for the apartment. (I had absolutely no reason to believe that they wouldn???t screw me again???there is no integrity in this organization and no trust in it???s management staff???that would be SARA). Sara???s assistant told me that it shouldn???t be a problem. I felt rather uncomfortable with the word ???shouldn???t??? and decided to call the corporate office of Jose Milton. I was transferred to their administrative office to get clarification on my obligations at this point and was told to get a definite ???no problem??? from the manager.

While this conversation was taking place, Sara showed up (yes, she was at lunch) and the assistant was informing Sara of my problem. Sara told me that if I would wait about 10 minutes, the chief engineer Jorge was on the way and that he could conduct the final inspection. I replied, ???Sure??? ???no problem?????? and sat in the waiting area from 3:40 to 4:20 pm. At 4:20pm, Jorge showed up and took me to the apartment with an inspection report to perform the inspection. He commented on how nice we left the apartment and that everything looked like new. He checked off everything on the sheet as ???OK??? except the carpet which he noted ???shampoo???. He also noted the returned keys, permits, and clickers; wrote down the address to send the security deposit, clicker deposit and key deposits to. I asked if the checks would be sent in a timely manner and he assured me they would. We returned to the rental office where Jorge made and gave me a copy of the apartment condition report. I left the building at 4:34pm.

Friday, March 16, 2007--- 2:05 pm. I called the Administrative office of United Properties to seek information on the status of my refund of the security deposit, key deposit and clicker deposit. I was told that the woman in the refund department was at lunch and I was asked to call back in about 10 minutes.

Friday, March 16, 2007--- 2:10 pm I called d the sales office at Blue Lagoon and asked to talk to Sara Mandulay. I was told that she was out of the office for the day and would be back on Monday and that her assistant was also out but would be back in the office tomorrow (Saturday). The girl asked if I would want to leave my number he would call me back. I declined, but asked what time the assistant would arrive in the office and was told 10:00am.

Friday, March 16, 2007 ---2:15 pm I called Sara Mandulay???s cell phone. She did not answer (of course), so I left a message giving my name and number and a message saying that I was very anxious to hear from her on the status of my refunds which were both due to me yesterday. I asked her to call me back as soon as possible with an update.

Friday, March 16, 2007 --- 2:28 pm I again called the Administrative office of United Properties and this time, my call was directed to a recording asking me to leave a message. I basically repeated the message I left on Sara???s cell phone, explaining who I was, my phone number, and the reason for my call.
----------------------------------------------------------- guess, in looking back of the events of this first group of contacts, it may well be only the first of a long and arduous task of getting my money back???.. Oh well, one thing I do know for sure, I can outlast that fat ass Sara and her band of incompetents.

Saturday, March 17, 2007 11:20am???. I called the Administrative office of Untied Properties. There is an answering machine message that indicated they were closed, that their business hours were 8am to 5 pm Monday through Friday. I left a message with my name and phone number asking them to call me back with an update on the status of my refund which was now 2 days late.

Saturday, March 17, 2007 11:25am??? I called Blue Lagoon???. Talked with Eunice (Sara???s assistant?) She told me that the administrative offices were closed for the weekend. She said that she would be off Sunday and Monday and would have an answer for me first thing Tuesday morning. I gave her my cell phone number and asked if Sara would be in the office on Monday. Eunice told me that Sara would indeed be in the office and I was welcome to call then, but that she would call be back Tuesday morning regardless.

At this point I decided to let Sara enjoy her weekend off. Perhaps she could go to lunch.

Monday March 19, 2007??? 10:25am I called the administrative office of United Properties and asked to speak to somebody about the status of my refund. The receptionist took my name and info regarding the property we rented from. I was transferred to another woman who asked if I had called before. I told her that I had called both Friday and Saturday and was still waiting on a reply. She asked me to please hold and when she came back on the line, she responded with ??? I have you here for a refund of $1625, and I will be sending that out this week ???. probably Tuesday or Wednesday???. I thanked her and hung up. I guess the trick to getting service and a satisfactory answer to my questions is to find a way to by-pass the property manager Sara Mandulay. After getting a satisfactory answer from the Administrative office, I decided to not call and disturb Sara today??? most likely she was out to lunch anyway.

Wednesday March 21, 2007 11:20am ??? I called United Properties and was immediately directed to a voicemail, so I hung up and tried another number for their business.

Wednesday March 21, 2007 11:25am??? I called United Properties and was told that no one was available to answer the phone, and would I pleas call back at 1:30 or 2:00pm.

Wednesday March 21, 2007 11:30 am ???I called Blue Lagoon and talked to Eunice (from Friday???s call). She said she would check and ask a woman named Marlene and asked me to please call back in 10 minutes.

Wednesday March 21, 2007 11:45am??? I called Eunice back and she said that she still did not have an answer for me. I told her I would be in a meeting and would call her back later this afternoon.

Wednesday March 21, 2007 2:50 pm ??? I called Eunice once more. This time I was told that she was in a meeting and would be in that meeting for the rest of the day. (She seems to be taking on Sara???s characteristic quite well)

Wednesday March 21, 2007 3:00pm??? I called United Properties back and then waited about 15 minutes while the woman looked up the records. Then she told me to call back tomorrow because she had to ???check it out???.

Thursday March 22, 2007 10:30 am ??? I called United Properties. This time, I talked with a different woman (Bridget). After re explaining my problem, she said she would look into it and give me a call back.

Thursday March 22, 2007 1:05pm??? Bridget from United Properties called me back, however I missed the call.

Thursday March 22, 2007 1:15pm??? I called Bridget at United Properties. After reviewing all my information, she said that she understood my dilemma, but that the paperwork that Sara (ah, yes???. Good old Sara) sent the office only supported refund for one clicker, one set of keys and the security deposit. I remarked that Sara had once again skimmed money from the property management. She did not disagree, but said that she could pursue the matter further, but that it would delay the check for the remainder of my refund. I asked her to just go ahead and send the check, that it was worth $50 to be rid of and away from Sara Mandulay and Blue Lagoon Condominiums.

Point of fact: The lease we signed said that we would get our security deposit refund within 15 days of moving out unless there was a problem with the apartment move out condition. The apartment condition report indicated that everything was in like new condition as witnessed by the chief of engineering. The lease further stated that there would be interest paid on the security. There was no discussion on this matter??? they didn???t even acknowledge their obligation to follow the lease. The 15 day deadline is long passed and we haven???t seen one cent of the refund they say they owe us. (We finally received the check on March 27, 12 days late with none of the accrued interest they promised on the lease) Where is the integrity in all of this? The fact is, there is none to be found either in the management or the organization as a whole.

So, with that in mind, I am submitting this review in hopes that the word will spread. Blue Lagoon Condominiums, Sara Mandulay, and even her assistant Eunice are a bunch of crooks and quite possibly the most inept, corrupt, and unethical organization I have ever come across. I have lived in many different areas of the country, I have traveled the world and been in 74 countries and have never ever had such a bad business experience. Anybody who doubts my statements can feel free to contact me at dancetntnow@aol.com. I would be happy to spend the time and effort to convince you to not do business with this pack of hoodlums. I???ll also include a list of contact numbers here for those who might require them in the future??????

HAS ANYBODY NOTICED THE REMARKS BY SVJM ON THE REVIEWS? ISN'T IT CURIOUS HOW THOSE ARE THE INTITIALS OF SARA MANDULAY? SARA, YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED!!

From: elpin2 Date: 04/10/2007
I think SVJM is her fat ass daughter who is always screwing another little gangster every week. I guess this place is run by a family and team of crooks, and you are right sarah does look like jabba da hut from star wars, lol...
From: fatso86 Date: 04/29/2007
If there were standards set for the management of an apartment complex, or condo association, or slum.... this place and the management therein could certainly be used as an example of how to NOT run a place. The manager is non-responsive and only has her own agenda. She couldn't care less about the issues that are brought to her UNLESS they fit her agenda and areconvenient to her. If you can read this, don't even think about renting there.... if you don't read this or have the intelligence to check out a place to live BEFORE moving there, then you probably deserve Sara and all that she can dish out. Sara Mandulay, what a piece of work you are.
