My sister and I lived there for almost 7 years; first I was in a 1-bedroom by myself, and for the last 2 years we had a 3-bedroom. When we first moved in they had a really good management company, the place was clean and well-maintained and the staff was really nice. Security was awesome. Then they switched management companies. In fact, they have switched managment companies at least 4 times in the last 5 years. Everytime it gets worse and worse. My niece's car was broken into 3 times right in front of her window! My car was broken into once. The maintenance crew sucks. The people upstairs kept screwing up the plumbing so our apartment always had water stains and leaks in the ceiling and walls. And one time in flooded so bad there was SEWAGE coming up from the bathtub drain! The management company didn't do anything to help. We had to bring in a plumber ourselves and management wouldn't even pay for the repair or the clean up. THe neighbors are loud and rude, they blast their music at all hours of the night. The security is a joke, the gate has been broken for over THREE YEARS! One of our neighbors was mugged walking from her car to the building, which was less than 15 feet away! Now they are going condo and are selling these shi**y apartments for an arm and a leg. We broke our lease and moved out 2 months ago. We LOVE our new place and would never recommend Briarwood to anyone. They SUCK!
